Can somebody finally forget about the overrated Genoa players?
They had two very good players lately, and both of them are in Inter now. The rest is simply not worthy of our attention.

I hardly think palacio is overrated,as for their players they work hard & are way more cohesive as a unit than our team.Its more to do with the coach & the tactics that make them shine.Genoa is a very well run club considering their financial constraints.

Absolutely.

And yet, with the obvious better organization than Juve, better coaching, better team work, Genoa are 10th placed in Serie A, with a negative goal difference, with 4 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats and they're not doing well in Europe where they have 1 win and 2 defeats.

What else does it say if not that most of those players are average and below average and they'll do much worse than 10th place if they play for Juve, with our coaching, our team work and organization.

I agree with Osman that there are some promising players there. I completely forgot about Bocchetti. I rate the boy high. But most of the other players, who look good there, like Palladino, Floccari, Morreti, Sculli, Zapater etc, will be of absolutely no use to Juve.

Btw, Zapater sucked in the Europa League games (and average in league), especially against Valencia, and now he is benched because Juric, their main playmaker, is back. So dont expect him to start, let alone impress.

We arent looking at him, as an RB he wouldnt cut it, but as a cheap freebie backup player for couple of positions, ala Salihamidzic, he would be decent. He is one of the few Genoa players I have thought has been real good so far in their weak start to the season.

I don't rate Silva that highly as a winger. He's rather good there, but he plays best in the "hole" as an attacking mid.

I think Mesto is a decent player myself. He's been pretty good whenever i've watched Genoa this season and he's equally good playing right or left. But i think he would only be useful if played as a wingback, imo he is one of those players that isn't good enough defensively to be a fullback nor good enough offensively to be a winger.

But what's annoying is how they keep saying things like: "Oh, I've never seen such a great move before" , "Oh, i've never seen such powerful shot" , and similar shit. They make it seem as if Zlatan started doing this only in Barca.

This is too true, some Barca fans in XT were acting like they were signing Corradi 3 months back, and I kept telling them what an insane player Ibra can be, and recently reminded some of those of what they said back then, and ofcourse they act like they allways thought he is the second coming

A couple of them were pretty good for their respective clubs in Italy, including Suarez, or so I've read. I think Guardiola was more of a case of just being old.

With regards to Mendieta, it really pained me to see him get booed off the Olimpico pitch, causing him to fall into tears that one match. Lazio and their Ultras never really gave him a decent chance, from being overzealous to impatient, then finally becoming militant. They basically didn't even give him a half a season, which is not acceptable to me. That's when I really started to hate those Mihajlovic-loving racists.

In spite of the fact there have been many Spanish "flops" recently, it doesn't mean that someone like Villa or Silva would turn out to be one, too.
