lucky Bartha, Puyol was just immense, made at least 3 goal-saving tackles...was surprised to see the game have such a slow tempo, Bartha looked quite reserved in their approach...Madrid did not look like a team at all, there was no pattern to their play...and once again their defense shows why it is not good enough for a CL challenge, absolutely nowhere on the goal...the ball-watching of Pepe and Ramos was where the game was lost

i thought it was a bloody good game, Real will play worse and win many games this year. on the performance of last night i would say both teams would give Englands best a pasting

He's doing it allready so far this season. He's the No.1 star right now in barca.
No, no he's not.

Messi is still Barca's best player. Zlatan despite having a monstrous goal scoring record thus far for Barca is still really inconsistent in his overall game. He loses too many balls and gets offside too many times for him to be considered Barca's best player.

Messi has had his bad games this season, true. But Ibra has had much more of these off days.

Sorry fred usually i agree with you on many things but not this one. Ask any Barca fan and he'll tell you that Ibra is their best player this season by a "big margin". Messi still scores many goals but he's overall performance is well below the Messi of the past years.

Xavi, iniesta and Messi are all not performing as they used to in the past few years. Most of my friends are barca fans (i know it sucks) but they all agree that Ibra is head and shoulders better than the rest of he's teammates this season and from what i've seen (watched like 5-6 games for barca in the league) i agree with them.

I'd actually agree, Messi is not on top of his game currently. Whether Ibra is their best player currently is highly debatable, but Messi surely is not his out of this world self currently.

I've watched most of Barca's games, so i feel i am in a place to make my own judgment. Like i said, Messi has had his bad games and he is definitely not reaching the standards he's reached last season. But i do not feel Ibrahimovic has been special at all this season. His overall game like i said before is lacking a lot, he loses too many balls for my liking. I feel that the only reason he is considered a success up till now is because of his goal scoring record(which is reason enough of course). But he still needs to improve his game a lot.

Messi is a victim of his own success, people are expecting him to perform like he did last season and as a result are putting higher expectations on him than Ibra.

I think we can all agree on that. But i also think that his current self is better than any other player out there currently. I honestly can't think of a better player, even on current form.

Chelsea would tear Madrid a new ass hole, thats a certainty.
Barca? I dunno.. but i expect a game like last year's were one side would win out of a ref mistake.

I blame Maradona and Laporta's six year contract extension. Argentinean national team broke his spirit. The lack of motivation on club level too is affecting him.

For me, Xavi is barca's most important player. He is the main player in their possession philosophy. Iniesta too is important but never as important as Xavi.

It's funny when people overrate Messi, sure he is one of the best, if not the best, but some people think he is a Maradona, and that you can't say for example X players is playing better than Messi.

He's not even as good as Zidane let alone Maradona. Maradona is one of a kind.

Still, on his current form he's still a beast. I mean he's scored 7 goals out of 9 starts for Barca and he isn't even a striker. That feat would make even the best of strikers proud.

Ofcourse, no one denies that. Ronaldo is as great as him too, but like you said he isn't even Zidane. He is today's one of the bests, bot not that far from second or third and the rest like people think he is.
