I didn't mean forceable torture.:D

I simply meant if your team isn't playing.

People will sit through boring football if their own team is involved.

But if given a choice, I would rather watch an exciting match rather (attractive football) than a snoozer.
It all depends on what the viewer finds attractive or exciting

I don't even watch my own team. Not worth watching.

Alright Alen here's the million dollar question. If you have to watch a team other than your own (Juve in your case) would you rather see a boring game or a somewhat exciting game?*

*I'm talking 0-0 v. 2-1, 2-2, 3-2. Not a goal glut of 5-5.:D
I like to see penalties. No matter if it ends 0:0 or 2:1 :D

No, seriously, if i don't care at all about who's gonna win or lose, i won't like to see a 0:0, but i'd prefer more goals.
It depends though. Sometimes even a 0:0 can be interesting while 4:0 can be boring. I'd like to watch quality football. Quality defending, quality attack.

Could one call that type of football perhaps attractive or even beautiful?:D

One man's irrational opinion is another's reasoned response. Andy has really good reasons for hating ManU apparently, but someone else showing the same attitude towards another team is just being silly.
I have nothing against Andy being a Barca fan. He might have good reasons for despising ManU and he might have good reasons for loving Barca. But:

Just because some like to see good attacking displays win out, we're automatically Barca fans.
Whenever somebody beats Barca with good attacking play, I'm happy to see them win and curse Barcelona.

So he is a fan of Barca only at the times they're playing some "good attacking football". If any team beats them with "good attacking football", he'll be happy to see them win and will curse Barca. So this is only the "good attacking football" which does matter for Andy, no matter if this is Real, Inter, Milan or ManU which is playing this "good attacking football". I don't remember any moment in which Andy shows his interest to Manchester or Milan's good attacking football. Hmm and he hated the "beautiful" Real of some seasons ago as far as I remember.

That's a silly statement to make. Just cause your favorite team doesn't play attractive football doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. I'm sure at one point in time Juve has played attractively and I'm sure Juventus fans have enjoyed it. Does that mean that because this team plays unattractively that all fans that have enjoyed attractive football must forfeit their fanhood?

The answer is no, because the notion is ridiculous.

This is why I asked him to tell me about the elements which could make him a fan of a team. I'm sure there had been some more attractive teams at the time he became a Juve fan. Why didn't he choose them? Simply because even for Andy it's not only the attractive football which matters. He keeps contradicting himself claiming that he's only cheering for beautiful football though and that's why I brought Juve to this.

Could it be Andy is a fan (a relationship more stronger) of Juventus and he likes (in term of a "light" relationship") beautiful football. IMO, those are two differents kind of love: you don't love (like) your friends in the same level you love(like) girlfriend/boyfriend

I'm trying to understand this

Exactly, but it's still not even that important.

I think this guys are doing a big deal when there is nothing to argue. Andy likes good football, well, who doesn't? Of course you like your team, of course you can have one, cheer them, cry for them, etc. But when it comes to beauty (kalós, a good definition of beautiful) you are free to like it or not. We can have a long discussion about what is beauty and so on, but the point is there is nothing wrong to say that certain team plays better than yours. It's almost an act of humility.
