:p

I mean the way he's been playing. Doesn't seem like he does as much. Maybe he's just being more efficient. We'll see in CL tho. La Liga isn't that great of a measuring stick as far as attacking goes.

I didn't say that, just wanted to point out that the same El Hamdaoui that scored 3 goals for Fiora in 19 games has the same amount after 2 games with Malaga.

How about Osvaldo who scored similar amount of goals in Serie A and La Liga or Di Vaio who plied his trade in Valencia unsuccessfully.

Yeah, he definitely looks "lazier" a lot for lack of a better word, I started to notice this last season. He still does brilliant stuff but it tends to come in bursts rather than the whole 90 min.

Not sure if this has been posted already but CR officially signs a new contract with Madrid that will keep him there until 2018.Apparently his salary could be around 17m euros net which will make him highest paid player in the world.
Not sure about the figure but he deserves to be the highest paid player in the world.

Edit: Sorry Ale deserves first place but I wont complain.

that's because they suck, always have, and always will. the players we mentioned have attacking ability but they can be shut down by good defenses. osvaldo and di vaio are the definition of mediocre.

According to AS ,Cristiano will be earning 21m euros net salary per annum. This is higher than what Eto'o earned at Anzhi.

He's very easely worth that, and much more.

I'm very interested at real's shirt sales the year after he retires. Probably still gonna be the best selling shirt by a landmile

just like with alex

So somehow Valdes has rediscovered himself. Had a beast of a game today including saving a penalty.

Also interesting fact, despite the scoreline this was the first time Barca have been outpossessed in a match since 2008.

Imagine this shit happens to Juve.. this penalties are regular for Barsa and Real and life goes on, while in Italy you get raped by media.

Yeah, the only time it's really pointed out in the Spanish papers is when something happens that favors one side or the other in El Clasico, otherwise nobody cares. There's supposedly a matchfixing investigation going on in Primera/Segunda divisions too but even that hardly gets any press time.

Complete opposite of Italy where every time something controversial happens, the papers get plastered with "Che scandalo!" and the like.
