The sad part is that next season this athletico will be nothing like the side its now
I don't think they will sell many of their players. Diego Costa will leave, but not many others.

They know how to keep players. I remember everyone was wondering how they kept Aguero for so long. I'm sure they will invest the money of Diego Costa wisely, like they always do. They will be weaker, but I don't think by much. Hell, if they pull the right moves...

They are surely an attractive side for players to go to now.

In terms of reaching his own potential, Tevez did much better. But people are used to seeing Messi scoring 50 goals a season, so this season pales in comparison. That makes Messi's season look worse than what it atually was imo. Also, people seem to forget that Tevez' performances in Europe (not that Messi had his best season there).
People called Zlatan a failure in Barcelona.

nah i didnt mean potential, number of goals can be deceiving, iam saying tevez delivered more by being more consistent and giving his all week in week out, he also was decisive for us on our historic title.

If one player decides to leave the others will follow. The likes of City, PSG, Real, United, top clubs in general will lure some of their best players. Atleti cannot possibly meet their demands, salary wise.

Sure, Tevez was more consistent, and he gave his all week out. Messi didn't do that, I agree. But even when Messi isn't at his maximum, he's still a better player than Tevez. Also, the fact that our title was historic doesn't add anything to Tevez' performance. But it sure sounds nice in an argument. :p

    Anyway, fair opinion.

    madrid will win their 10th.

I'm very afraid athletico will $#@! it up and let barcelona win the title, ending up with nothing after such a boss year
    Thank GOD you was wrong!

Neymar is such a fraud of a player, brazilian clown.
Without Costa, sadly, R.Madrid will run over Atl. in CL final.
You will be wrong as well.

there is no shadow of a doubt, messi is the better player. We are just evaluating how they fared this year. Also historic title has a lot to do with this, not only did we win we won with most points ever, only compounds on his contribution imo

You haven't watched much Spanish football back in the days, then. I really can't see Atletico do it again next year, unless they upgrade their team massivelly.

    Oh, and Costa.
If they'd keep the current squad they might challenge in Spain, Europe is always uncertainty, but chances are that some of their guys won't be able to resist tempting offers and that will be their downfall.

The fact that we made more points than ever before says more about Serie A than Tevez.
But as I said, in terms of reaching his own potential, Tevez did better. The better season overall: Messi.
    Over and out! :p

    Tevez leads a side

Messi needs to be fed. He's extremely good when fed much better then tevez, but he doesnt carry on his own.

For this reason not including tevez is bull$#@!
Exactly. He's mentally weak. Not a leader at all. If things are goint shitty for everybody, he's the first to settle.

Oh don't get me wrong, I highly doubt they can repeat this. I just think they won't totally fall apart, even if they lose some players (I still don't think many will leave after this season). But IMO it's great to see underdogs win La Liga, I'm sick of both Real and Barca, especially the latter. Even if they are disgusting, they are less disgusting than tiki taka and billion euros spending Real.
