Marchisio can do his job just the same, is my point. You don't need some special characteristics to "create triangles" when your team has the ball all game or to anticipate passes when your opponent has one option because you have 11 players who are twice the speed as them hurrying them all game.

I think he's a good reader of the game as well, intercepts a lot of passes, and has decent ball winning capabilities. I don't understand bringing up Marchisio, he's a central midfielder, while Busquets is a defensive midfielder.

As for Busquets, he is very good....but he's an incredibly detestable character, just like Materrazi, not many people will praise him or appreciate what he offers, only his fans will.

I'm not a fan but I do acknowledge that he's a very good player.

I know its hard to notice him, he does most if not all of his tactical task in the quiet, but as Fred said, underrated, ignore the title and watch the entire clip to get basic understanding of his task on the pitch:

Yes they are different. The difference is Marchisio can do everything Busquets can do and more (ie. around the goal). That's why Marchisio plays up the field more and Busquets walks around in defense.

Let's not pretend Busquets is actually running around destroying attacks. He's a holding midfielder who does no holding! What is a defensive midfielder's job when your team has the ball 3/4ths of the game. Put Marchisio there and does anything change in Barca? No. Put Busquets as our CM and does anything change with us? Yes.
