He was way too rash, he is obviously not a cb, has no positional sense, and just presses the ball wherever it is, even if it means leaving his space empty, he was the main culprit in the first goal imo. Plus I guess Fontas and Barthra too, but they are even more unknown qualities.

Probably, but I'd be prepared to bet than Mascherano is used at CB more than either. I can understand not affording a CB, but he'd surely want an extra one for security.

He was quite bad for them at times. The whole attraction was that he fitted their footballing team, but had defensive flaws. They went through so much to get him as well, great waste of time.

But seriously they have a fear complex from Messi, how the fuck did he get an assist and a goal in that first half when he barely touched the ball?! How much Classico goals does that make it, 12? But an exquisite goal by Villa, you can hardly call that an assist by Messi for the first goal. Real were too wasteful, they missed many opportunities, Benzema is slow, despite doing well for the first goal, he's way too slow and for that reason doesn't work against Barca.

Barcelona desperately need a centerback, as Puyol will be missing a lot of games this season, but instead they had to come for Cesc
