Well, Xavi and Iniesta are still good but they're getting old and all those trophies they've won have took away that extra edge you need to compete all year long. Messi is going downhill for some reason. He's still amazing but he's not the same guy he used to be. Puyol is also old.
Perhaps Xavi and Puyol are closer to retirement but not Iniesta (still just 27). And i don't think this team lacks motivation, they have a couple of problems but nothing major.
Their defense had been weak this season even before the Real and Chelsea games and Abidal's absent screwed them even more. Plus they lack that extra edge upfront and I remember saying that they needed a Ronaldinho type of player (neymar) more than Alexis sanches for their team.
Anyways it will be interesting to see who will take over Barca for next season.

Well I can't say I'm not surprised at Pep leaving and Tito being appointed although I thought Enrique had a shot but I guess I was wrong. It will be interesting to see how Tito does. I will always support a young cOach unless it involves the Peelan clubs or Madrid.
