Villarreal seem to be refinding some of the form that saw them finish third last season. They beat Valencia last night thanks to a first half strike from Lucho Figueroa.

Real won by luck with a penalty - the ref gave them 2 penalties , real suck , they are pathatic , zaragossa was better.

say a caption on the bottom of the screen as xavi was taken off near the end of the barca mach

67 passes 65 completed 97% pass accuracy, xavi does this week in week out, he surely is one of the most under rated players in the barca
team and one they would struggle without

Xavi is class.

Btw, did anyone see the goal scored by the Getafe player (can't remember his name) against Barca on Sunday? What a phenomenal volley!

it seems no one is interested in this match , who support barca and who support real in juventuz members?
I guess I'm something of a distant fan of Barca. I've always enjoyed watching them play and I like the fact that the fans own the club.

Real are on most people's pet hates list anyway, so I suspect you'll find very few sympathisers for them here.

Who scored the goals in the match?

I was hoping that the Barca-Real match would be played on Sunday, however to our dismay it will be played at the same time as the Juventus match this weekend. Both matches are going to be fantastic and hopefully I will be able to capture the Spanish wonder on tape.

Ronaldinho ‘wins’ Ballon d’Or Wednesday 16 November, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barcelona sensation Ronaldinho has won the European Footballer of the Year award, according to reports in Spain.

The news was leaked by Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo yesterday, adding further weight to rumours that had been circulating to that effect for some days.

The Barca striker, who helped the Catalan giants to the Spanish championship last season, has been exceptional since joining the side for £18m in 2003 and was always strongly-fancied to win the Golden Ball.

Chelsea’s Frank Lampard is reputed to have come second for helping Chelsea to their first League title in 50 years, while Steven Gerrard – who was also voted Champions League Man of the Year – is said to have won third-place recognition for leading Liverpool to European glory last season.

If the speculation surrounding Ronaldinho’s latest video - in which the skilful forward deliberately hits the crossbar four times in a row - suggest that the video is false, it would seem that rumours linking him with the ultimate European accolade are not.

All will become clearer on November 28 when the award ceremony takes place in Paris, despite efforts by France Football to throw a smokescreen in their wake by inviting Lampard to an interview for next month’s edition.

Ronaldinho now joins the glittering pantheon of previous winners including Johan Cruyff, Hristo Stoichkov, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Luis Figo, Roberto Baggio and last year’s top dog, Andriy Shevchenko.
