I don't think Villareal will lose a game this year if Riquelme escapes all injuries. La liga 04/05 will end:

1. Barcelona
2. Villarreal
3. Real Madrid
4. Ath. Madrid
5. Sevilla / Valencia

It's a loong way to go, but hopes float for Madridistas
I hope barca can regain their good form and continue.
at. madred early goal and ronladenio missed penalty caused the loss.

well.....all the players in this game were out of form....even the machine "XAVI" was out of form....

the early goal is not an excuse....as i remember, against Real Zaragoza, Barca conceded an ealry goal but they managed to score 4 goal after that and won the game and at NOU CAMP as well

Barca's penelty was NOT a penelty, it was from outside, and Atletico's penelty too was wrong

IMO the reason that Barca played that way, is that the players are tired....let's take Eto'o for an example....the guy played nearly all the games for Barca this season and the same goes for Puyol and Xavi and many others.....so, Rijkaard should have signed some backup players....Albertini and Maxi are fine, but Barca needed 2 or 3 more players

Anyway. hopefully, Barca will win the title this season..

Yeah it's finally starting to come together for Real. When Raul scores a brace you know it's only a matter of time. :)

Sure is! He's been outstanding in the last eight games. I mean just look at the results:

20/11/04 Villarreal 0-2 Deportivo (in pain, subbed 75')
28/11/04 Betis 2-1 Villarreal (injured)
05/12/04 Villarreal 0-0 Real Madrid
12/12/04 Getafe 1-2 Villarreal
22/12/04 Albacete 2-2 Villarreal
09/01/05 Villarreal 3-0 Barcelona
16/01/05 Levante 2-4 Villarreal
23/01/05 Villarreal 3-1 Valencia
30/01/05 Real Sociedad 0-4 Villarreal
06/02/05 Villarreal 2-1 Racing

 If that's not impressive I don't know what is!

Atletico's defense was amazing against Barca. Luis Perea totally shut down Etoo and Ronaldinho.
I've been bigging up Perea since I first saw him play and he was indeed amazing against Barca. This kid has got a bright future ahead of him.

PS. How about Ibagaza's flick to Torres?

Riquelme is brilliant. AFAIK he has the most assists in La Liga and he's banging in his fair share of goals too. I'd love to see him in a Juve jersey.

Perea is not a kid anymore being 26 years old, however he sure looks very promising. He reads the game very well and is one of strongest defenders in La Liga. Perea pushes Eto'o aside like he is an air-filled balloon. I would love for Moggi to secure his services.

Ibagaza is a great little player. I have always admired his playmaking ability ever since I saw him lead Mallorca to a victory over Barcelona years ago.
