I don't believe that we'll buy him, but nobody (except Moggi) knows that. I think a defender would fit us more...
obviously a defender would suit our needs more, but in the case of an injury our forwards would be harder to replace cos we don't even have enough to make the numbers.

on the other hand,we have more than enough defenders.i wouldn't mind if we played montero in the case of an injury crisis.it's just that we're lacking quality wise in that department.

bring him in! we lack creativity right now, and playing him as aplaymaker would be great. mutu, del piero and miccoli could all be fielded together under capello, he doesnt mind that idea.

he has a high wage, but at least we get another forward in the team. maybe moggi can sign gilardino for next season by agrreeing on a fee now with parma.

And lets not forget that Del Piero isnt getting any young. he is 30 this year in november and his body isnt fresh at all. Mutu could replace him in the team sooner or later. mutu, miccoli and gilardino for the future is obviously great.

Seems like Mutu will join us, at least for a year on loan. Reports are hard to come by, but seems as Mutu's agent claimed that the deal is done on Romanian TV tonight. He said it will be offical tomorrow.

I really hope we buy him, not just loan. Now is the time to get a great player like him for a good price.

/

Becali (an 'agent' who puts his ass into many places where it isn't welcome...): Mutu will sign for Juventus!
Spoken to via telephone link on the "Fanatik Show" on "TV Sport", Giovanni Becali (who is now in London) was asked by GSP (Romanian sports newspaper) about Mutu's situation at Chelsea. His reply said that there is a 99% chance of Mutu signing for Juventus tomorrow, and that he had spoken to Mourinho who said Mutu was last in his choice of 4 strikers.

No get me Bonera and Jankulovski, and the mercato is done!"

Haha I knew it! It seems like the logical replacement for Di Vaio. I'm interested in seeing how Capello will use Mutu, or maybe more how he will use, or IF he will use, Del Piero.

i think he will be both cabable of replacing DP and Trez. But that will offcourse leave Miccoli on the bench :(

It will be a good deal if it happens. Finally someone that can play as a playmaker.
I don't know about that Zlatan. Mutu is not a natural playmaker. I see him as an energetic forward, or an upgrade to Del Piero. But not as a Zidane or Kaka.

dude.... we don't need a Zidane or a Kaka ...we have a player named.... eerrr...what was his name again ? thats right... NEDVED

Del Piero refuses to play behind 2 strikers.

so Del Piero and Trezeguet up front with Mutu behind them and Nedved on the left is great.

Yeah, but IMO he can play there until we get Nedved back from injury. He doesnt have Neddy's workrate and doesnt help in D as much, but he could do alright. IMO a Mico-Mutu partnership behind Treze could be deadly.

Possibly yeah. With Miccoli on the right, and Mutu on the left, there wouldn't be a problem getting balls into the box, which Trezeguet certainly needs. But I still miss the days of a natural playmaker (Zidane).

I don't think Capello will use such an attacking lineup. Its fairly obvious that he will use a well-balanced team.

Me neither. If I had to choose between a 3-man attacking lineup, I'd go for Nedved behind Mutu and Gilardino/Trezeguet. Now I know Nedved isn't a playmaker, but I'd rather have him constantly in attacking positions than relying on him to maraud from left midfield. We already have Zambro to cover the whole left flank, so IMO it's better to just let Nedved drift in the centre

Actually, im hoping capello has the brains to play nedved on the right. he is miles better than camo who really should be given away in a swap.

if mutu joins, i think he is the best option for playmaker. he has experienced that role more than miccoli or del piero. At parma he was a support striker, but if i recall correctly at previous clubs and even for the national team sometimes he was used in a deeper role.

Anyway, capello used to play with cassano and totti upfront at times, and even though montella plays tall at times, he is still short. so maybe mutu, del piero and miccoli could play together when trezeguet is injured.
