Yep cos players like Montero and Legrottaglie don't become bad players from one season to another; injuries played a big role this season...all things equal the defence was good.

Yes the defence was good otherwise it wouldn`t have finished least defeated defence 8 years out of the last 10. Lippi's 4-2-3-1 unbalanced the team and luck didn't help either, other wise the players were still the same + Legrottaglie.
