everybody knew that he was coming here for around 15m and all of a sudden it's like "WOW,WE SIGNED ZAZA FOR 18 MILLIONS?WOW,WOW!"

guys when we're ucl runner ups and consider ourselves top 5 europian club then it should be normal for us to spend this much on 5th striker who will actually play a lot more than we expect...
i guess he's gonna surprise so many of us this season,i watched about 10-12 sassuolo matches last season and he's anything but mediocre,he's not fuckin suarez but he's pretty good for a 3rd choice CF!

Great? Who do you have to beat, Palermo, Udinese?
look at the teams that finished above him. apart from Genoa, they are all much better teams. finishing ahead of Inter and Milan, 2 teams that strength wise would normally be in top 7, is whats great

and this is a team that finished 12th the season before

Sorry but there's nothing great about him as of yet. He done OK with an average squad. Maybe he overachieved a little. But finishing above Milan and Inter is not a special achievement when the 2 clubs can barely get 2 wins in a row at any point in the season.

yeah, thats my point. finishing above Milan and Inter might seem not so special, but when you are coaching a team like Sampdoria, it certainly is to me

He's alright. I see him as a bang average coach who probably won't do anything stupid but he's hardly going to come in and lay the foundations for a new, great Milan team.

Unless we have a freakishly off season, Milan won't be within touching distance of us for a good few years. The best either Milan club can hope for in the next 3 years is a scrap for 3rd place. And that's a big ask for them.

This i agree with. Though Milan is going in the right direction i think. New stadium soon, signing young (italian) players, they dont have FFP issues like Inter (from what i know). If they can get rid of Berlusconi and Galliani, and their new owners get a serious project ongoing, they might be on the way of building something good. It will still take them years to come close to us again

18mil on Zaza is an extremely unwise decision, esp considering that we could have signed much better alternatives, like Immobile Berardi and that we dont really need him as he will be the last in pecking order of Morata,Dybala, Manduzkic and probably Llorente too.
His is the least talented of our potential picks and comes in a starter fee, for a 3rd subber role.
A stupid decision on Marotta's, unless it is a managerial decision with great personal profits from his cut...

berardi worht 18m and 15m was pretty much acceptable for zaza I can see berardi going for the same price as zaza, which is set at 18 million.

Can somebody explain why us signing Zaza would be necessary for getting Berardi? That sounds like we're doing Sassuolo a favour but he was a starter for them, no? If we're doing them a favour by signing him then what the $#@! are we doing with him on our team?
Loaning him back to Sassuolo again for the next 5 years and then lose him for free
