With all due respect to all you Animal Right Activist, I see no reason to spend millions to keep a panda alive when there are plenty of asian/african kids starving to death who DON'T want to die...
I hate that "while there are plenty of starving kids" argument. Because you can justify everything with that. Why should we allow people to have cars while people are starving in Africa? Why should we allow art or music while there are starving children in Asia?

It's a weakass argument to one-up anything, as if nothing can be done without the exclusion of the other.

As a side note, I drank Civet coffee a lot when i was travelling, and still have some left! $40 for 250 grams!
Save that shit for the coffee tourist who cannot tell the difference between price and quality.

    Reductio Ad Absurdum.

In cases were you would be doing as much good burning the money I feel it is a fair comparison to be making. If it is contributing something and helping to do something in some way then that wouldn't be the case.

I don't think the money should be diverted to dying children, enough money gets wasted trying to deal with that already. But move it to a cause that will make an impact - such as the tigers in Yunnan province that get literally no funding.

I am aware of what a podcast is :D, I was asking if he was talking about a specific one or if he produced his own...
I'm helping some college friends start one. We haven't gotten the system down well enough for me to be confident with uploading something, but as they get more used to timing and not interrupting each other and both guys doing the necessary research it gets better. We're kind of going for a cross between "Stuff You Should Know" and "Smodcast" but will settle for a more educational "Um Yeah Dude" which is probably were these guys are headed.
