Should Ranieri Stay or Go? (Part 2) (1 Viewer)

Should Ranieri stay or go?

  • 1- Enough is enough, fire him!

  • 2- He is bad, but we need to keep him until the end of the season

  • 3- Keep him! He is the best option

  • 4. Get the coach of Albinoleffe because he'll surely take us to CL. I mean, everyone's better than R

I agree partly with sateeh. Changing the coach NOW might not have any effect, or even worsen our situation BUT if i were to decide, i'd really trying to convince lippi and if that man agreed, i'd risk it. A man of lippi's experience (coaching-experience AND Juve-experience) might be able to bring us to a new level.

With what juve looks like on paper, we should not be worrying about 4th place. I mean, we have the likes of Del Piero, Camoranesi, Buffon, whom i really (and objectively) consider world-class on their relative positions, and even if inter seemed unreachable (which i do not believe), they are not 13 points better. That's just a fact.

My fear is that we don't reach CL, and what happens next, only god knows; because we definately NEED the money from CL in order to be competitive the next years. We don't know what happens next with DP, Nedved, ... we have also camo and trez who are 30 yrs old (i think), but where are their replacements? i don't see any.

To get back to topic; i think we need a change in our management. I see a lot of secco-bashing here but maybe it's just the coach that needs to change. I mean without ranieri, we obviously wouldn't have bought tiago etc.

I say Get lippi, he's free, i'm pretty sure someone could convince him. He's the only one i'd let touch this juve at this moment, becuase only he has the experience with our squad (most of it). If we can't get Lippi, i'd say no change 'til the end of the season and let's hope we somehow reach 3rd place.
TBH up untill now i have totally disagreed with Lippi returning but now im not so sure considering all things, what worries me is he seems like a person who is likeable person (as in personally) and i have no doubt he is the good books of Gigli & so on.. IMO, if there was one coach in the entire world who wouldnt fundamentally disrupt our season it would be definately be Lippi, our champions love him and our new players would undeniably respect him.. This said i still think the best way to go is just to snag Prandelli at the end of the season which would be rather hard

it says "Ranieri, no! Juve are beaten by Fiorentina and the Coach's decisions are called into question"

We were really in need of a fresh wind, Deschamps offered us that last season, but Ranieri is so outdated (and just inept) it's not funny. He did well the first six months, but in difficult periods the coach's hand has to make the difference. One could argue he did make a difference, albeit a negative one.. What worries me though is that after more than 6 months he still hasn't been able to introduce a certain style of play or imprint on our team. He fails to bring in any kind of consistency in our midfield mainly. I do want to note that he has to work with a lot of average material.

Having said that, i'm with Sateeh. Letting Ranieri go now will make us even worse. I reckon we'll finish in the top4 though and even hang on to third spot, despite Prandelli(now that's a fresh coach, he'd be perfect for us, especially with our youngsters coming through next season, he's a manager i'd even be willing to give an additional transitional year as he is truly a teambuilder) being the superiour manager.
The third spot will see Ranieri's ass saved for next season, i'm afraid.
The Deschamps situation has come and gone sadly. It was just the wrong decision and Ranieri is here now. I remember i was reading about his time in Valencia when it was either Albelda or Marchena asking him about what type of defending he would prefer him to play and he simply said " i don't know you're the defender!". He will never be a very good tactical or a deep technical manager like a Lippi or a capello and we all knew that.

This board has shown its weaknesses last season with DD , so i think that the only way that Ranieri would get the chop is when a bigger manager becomes available and interested at the end of the season.

Lippi will not take over any team before the pre season. And i think the same will go for all the top coaches in the world right now.

Whats interesting is that he is getting a little bit of heat on him for the first time this season, so we will see how he responds to that pressure put on his decisions.

i dont think DD wants to come back becoz of our boards.....
I don't think DD is better than Ranieri, look at last season, in serie B. We didn't have a spectacular season. And this year, we are bsically using the same players, yet we've managed to come out 3rd. Not bad, but Ranieri looks more and more a midtable coach.

I don't want Ranieri to be Juve's coach next year. If Lippi or Mourinho accept to take over Juve in March, then i'd accept replacing Ranieri, now.

This being said, lets take a look at some facts and proposals :

Facts:
1. We're one place above the place that was and still is our objective for the season.
2. We play really bad lately and we're getting awful results

Proposals :
1. Lets fire Ranieri ASAP
2. Lets put a stuff member to replace him

Fact # 3
- our stuff members don't even have coaching license and they have exactly 0 minutes coaching experience

To sum up:
We want to replace our coach with someone who was never a coach in his life, only 12 rounds before the end of serie A, because we play bad at the moment, even though we're placed better than we planned to before the season.

Maurizio Zamparini will be happy when he'll see that other people share his logic, even though even he replaces his coaches with REAL coaches, not stuff members.

The problem is in your logic that you don't accept counter arguments. I can give you names as much as you want. Vialli, Conte, Zoff, Sacchi, Lippi (If he doesn't want to be our manager next season, he can sign a contract until the end of the season and then leave, he said himself that he wants managing and that he is ready). 5 names enough for you? I can find you more if you want!

you problem is you want to stay optimist, and you don't want to admit that Ranieri run out of solutions. I predicted these at the Empoli game, yes the one that we won 5-3. When we won over Roma, he came with a weak quote like "I want to end up second", now imagine if we gained those 8 extra points, wouldn't that quote sound pathetic?? I am trying to show you the way he thinks, this the exact way he approaches in the game, when he leads, he get scared and put in as much as defensive players to keep the result. He doesn't want the team to win victories, he is afraid of risking. Can you trust this guy to take us to CL?? seriously!
