In Singapore, this is wad we have

Drive on the right side of the road
"Tidy" road system
Have a rich diversity of races, which explains that fact that we have a wide variety of food.
Fighting like there's no tomorrow when there r bargains/buffet
Arrive late (typical Singaporean behaviour)
Ppl cloging up the escalator when alighting from trains
Dress sloppily due to hot + humid weather
Many people playing soccer, basketball and swimming.
Huge apartments

More to come.

I can type about HK if u guys want to.

Hihiiiiiii............can i add and it sure is a FINE country. :D

1 or 2 things are quite strange to me (but of course where I live can't be qualified as "Italy"), but the rest is sooo true!
Since when are you in Salerno, Enrico?
January 31st and counting :D

After seeing all the "We drive on the right/left" comments, let me add something to my Italy list:

In ITALY

There's no telling what side of the road you're supposed to drive on

:D

Could just be a Salerno thing though because whenever I went to the North (never came south of Tuscany before I came here) it was never a big problem for me.

Let me tell you about a typical Salerno traffic scene in the morning rush hour:

There's a police officer guiding traffic on a cross section. He suddenly spots friends on a sidewalk and waves at them. Next thing you know three cars are involved in a crash.

I'm not kidding, I wish I were :D

The English

a) Have queues for buses that would put the old Eastern bloc to shame
b) Talk about variations in the weather and rain more than anything else
c) Think Americans actually could give a damn about us
d) Have alot of ex pat Aussies hanging around Sloane Square assaulting us with their rapier sharp wit and haute couture
e) Care more for furry animals than other humans. - bombing iraq is ok, but you shoot a fox and youre dead meat
f) Drink warm beer and real ales called 'old fart'
g) Play cricket a game that lasts for 5 days, bores the pants off everyone, and still ends in a draw
h) Think we're going to win every world cup we enter and concoct conspiracy theories when we dont (like the spanish and italians)
i) Have a royal family that few respect and are quite possibly barking mad
j) Drive on the left, ....that is unless you are a cheif constable when driving on the left, right, or straight down the middle smashed out of your skull is optional
k) Eat lots of Indian takeaways. Usually after consuming pints of 'old fart' and are therefore not the most romantic of males

on the other hand

We like to laugh at ourselves
We are generally quiet inoffensive and dull
We wear extremely sensible shoes and have very tidy front lawns
We make wonderful wild life programs with David Attenborough
We dont shoot up people with hand guns

Without us

We'd deprive the Aussies of someone to beat in sport
We'd deprive the Scots of someone to moan about
The World would never have heard of the Spice Girls, The Teletubbies or Goldenballs (Thats David Beckham to you)
The Irish would have sorted their problems out years ago (then again perhaps not)

and Sven Goran Eriksson would have to find some other footballing association to screw £4m a year for

I know, I believe you, I attended scenes like that myself :D

No, in fact northern Italy is much different from the South. Or at least where I live is different, I can't really talk about the rest of the country. After all here the 70-80% of the population is German and so much of the Italian culture gets lost :wallbang:

National Electric Power Authority. The Nigerian state owned power utility that until 2001 was solely responsible for all the power supply in the country. Not anymore thank God, but in large parts of the country, still is the only one. Anywhere there's NEPA, we have regular black outs. In the few places that private guys have moved in, power is steady but more expensive. IMO I'd rather pay for more expensive but efficient.
