every game is important ... we need to be on top ...

juventus always had this advantage on every other team in europe ... that we won every championship we've been in ... so we need to win serie b ... not just seek promotion ... :smoke:

dont know why DD didnt use his subs earlier.Would've wanted to give neddy a time off, boji more time on the field, and even palladino a run.

Is it true that DP got upset that Trezeguet deflected his ball and the score was counted as Trezeguet scored?
Del Piero looked clearly PISSED OFF when it seemed like the ball slightly brushed Trezeguet's head from the free kick :(

I actually haven't seen Del Piero pissed off after a goal like this since the Inzaghi hat-trick away to Venezia, I believe.

He looked quite irritated and had a chat with the ref, who simply shook his head :disagree:

Honestly the replays are difficult to judge whether the ball touched his "Testa Pelata" or not. Oh well...we're at -4 now, and DP is the KING of free kicks. :touched:

Forza Juve.

he was mad at the ref b/c for some reason, not Trez.

Great win for Juve. 3 games in a row with no goals alowed. Camo was great and ZAnetti was all over the pitch.

Great win. The squad was firing on all cylinders in this one with nary a weak spot, save maybe for some finishing. (They're creating chances galore but missing the finish, if not for Trez, lately -- something that could be worrisome later in the season or if Trez inevitably gets injured.)

And that build-up passing between Camo-Neddy-DP for the first Trez goal? Whoah! :agree:

Piacenza was never allowed to get in this one, though.

Buffon: 7.5 - He is as cool as a cucumber back there lately. Wasn't called on much, but when he was he came up big. Only concern was the high number of punch-outs.

Birindelli: 6 - Decent match. Held his ground and didn't get beat much. Good pursuit. Could have offered more up the pitch.

Kovac: 6 - Wasn't involved much in this one. He once completely blew coverage in the second half where Buffon had to save our asses. But then he came right back and covered for a rare mistake of Chiellini in this one.

Boumsong: 7 - Best match for Juve yet. He showed great pursuit, tenacity on the ball, and skill. He's improved immensely over the past month.

Chiellini: 7.5 - If not for a small mistake here and there, he could have been my MOM. He put in his strongest defensive performance yet for Juve in this match. A real destroyer, a preventer of crosses, and always on the spot to make the clearance. Didn't offer much up the pitch, but hey -- another shutout.

Giannichedda: 5.5 - Didn't get involved much before he was replaced.

Zanetti: 7 - Strong match on both ends of the pitch.

Nedved: 7 - Good shots on goal and some sublime passing when we needed it. He's a real workhorse.

Camoranesi: 7.5 - My MOM. If he has any hesitation about playing in Serie B, he certainly didn't show it in this match. Our most dangerous player today.

Del Piero: 6.5 - He's showing he can be a great creator the less time he holds the ball. A couple of fantastic free kicks plus good touch passes. Needs to improve his finishing and to not hold the ball as long at times.

Trezeguet: 7.5 - He's making it look routine. The deadliest finisher out there, and boy do we need it. Another MOM candidate for obvious reasons.

Paro: 5 - He looked out of sorts today. His passes were high and wide. Just didn't make much of any use of his touches.

Boijinov: 5.5 - Blew two open goal shots within minutes of coming on for DP. But did help wreak some offensive havoc.

Marchionni: 6 - Not on the pitch for long. But he did create a few decent chances with his time and touches out there.
