that tone I was talking about, Tone of Insulting/ acting like a child, you don't need to be an expert to understand that Vinnie boy!

whether you realize it or not, these guys get paid a large sum of money for what they do, and criticism of their performances comes along with the territory
I love this mentality, all the problems comes from here I guess.. This is not your dad's club, no one is forcing you to spend money on them, and when you spent that money on them, they didn't sign you a promise card to perform the way you want.. this is an entertainment, a show a business a sport.. they are not your slaves or soldiers ;)

We ought not to make our permanent decisions based on extreme results (good or bad, with great emotional influence)
Juve was off form for a very long time and a couple of convincing victories shouldnt make us forget all this in a day. DD was the main person responsible for our lack of performance and he is probably responsible for our come back,
injury problems and player's performances were and still are present,
i hope the change was because,
he has improved his coaching skills and "feel".
I like to think of my self as a realist, im not entirely on Vinnie's path but i can feel him,
i see that his love for Juve is so strong, that he suffers the defeat, bound to come, more than the victory in hand, he wants the best for Juve and dont tolerate failure or even marks of it. Our team is faaaar from perfect and our priority one should be to improve our selves, there has been some backward steps and this can only upset true Juve fans.
The forums do not have a direct effect on our team's performance or morale no matter what we think/wish...
Vinman is really needed to keep the balance since the tendency of the forums is overgrowing optimism and it certainly does not stand for the true image of our team most of the times...
we have problems and the only way to improve them and become nearly perfect, as we wish, is to eradicate them, even a convincing victory can be a proof of these problems that can come back and haunt us, in the next match day...

good technique he has, but he isn't any fast, or better to say he is slow, maybe he reads the game good, but I don't know I am still not convinced that this player will become Juve regular and lead us to victories in Italy and Europe. Till now, I believe Boji is more talented.. But I also Don't believe that Boji will become a world star neither.. anyway it might sound crazy to talk these the night he scored a hatrick.. we need to see more matches, and bigger matches to see his exact worth. time will tell his worth, very early to claim all these
Well said Snoop, this is a very fair stance and objective opinion! Palla has still a lot to prove,
given the chance of course, same goes for Boji, we cannot trust entirely DD's view on Boji by the things he gets to see on the trainings,
Boji never had the chance to prove him self and i still think it isnt his, neither DD's choice or fault...

maybe you live in a closet or something, and dont realize or understand that no matter what club, or even what sport you watch, people are going to make comments, both good and bad

Have you ever read an Italian newspaper ?? Do you realize that they give RATINGS of how well a player did ?? Do you realize that when a player does badly, that he will be criticised ??

Dont lose sleep over the fact that I feel that Boumsong doesnt have the talent to be on our team....I think he's a terrible defender, and calling him a bum is the mildest way I can put it !! Yo'll get over it, snoopy-dog

To save snoopy's night from digging up my previous posts from 6 years ago, I will gladly display most of the players/coaches I have criticised...some with original names of affection I have personally come up with. Take a look at my list, and tell me that the criticism isnt justified:

Paramatti
Salas
Birindelli
Legro
Trap Crap
CRAPello
BUMsong
DesCHUMPS
DONEadoni

I'm sure most of you here, unlike snoopy, can understand my frustrations with the above player/coaches

and the way I see it...I pay for satellite service to see Juve, I buy their merchandise, and when they come to North America, I attend their games...

This is MY TEAM, and I will voice my opinion...both good and bad, whether you or anyone else likes it or not !!!

Now go back into the closet !!:agree:

Snoop, welcome to society. As you know, you're not always going to find the thoughts, ideas, or sayings of other people pleasant.

I can tell you that I too find many of Vinman's player/coach rants and name games more than a bit tiresome at times. But I tend to overlook that for the core of his messages -- even if I don't agree with his tactics for communicating them.

ohh...an expert on "tones" are you ??

where did you pick up that skill...the circus ??!!

I see no problem with calling Boumsong a bum, Capello CRAP or DD a chump

it has nothing to do with them PERSONALLY, but rather the way they play/coach

whether you realize it or not, these guys get paid a large sum of money for what they do, and criticism of their performances comes along with the territory

go to some other forums and tell me that you dont see FANS doing the same things

maybe you can start a crusade and go to all the forums and tell the masses what bad people they are for criticising their teams...or maybe you can just re-join the circus :p

I dont see any reason why you shouldn't criticise the players Vinni, but you shouldn't insult them. After all, its against the RULES. ;)

The thing I am most concerned about when it comes to this, is that we shouldn't be forced to close match threads.

i dont see any problems with your blunt views, infact i enjoy reading about your opinions as everyone is entitled to them, if you think players are not talented then i believe that you should 100% be able to say it even if you insult them a bit, its not like they will read your comments and cry themselves to sleep

Vin, can you give us report of this game if possible...how our players performed and what went good and bad.
After a sluggish start, and a fairly quick Triestina goal, our boys put it together, and thrashed a brave Triestina team.

I have to say that even though we managed to secure the game in the first half, once we settled down and played our game in the second half, we looked even better. The passes in the second half came together, the control, everything was there (except a DP goal)

Buffon- gave up a bad rebound early for the goal, but was on his game for the rest of the night

Zebina- his man darted by him to score on the rebound, otherwise he was ok

Boumsong- no glaring mistakes, but is anyone else holding their breath when we are attacked on his side of the field ?? He wont be a starter for us in Serie A, thats for sure

Chellini- he was good...the less I say about a defender, usually the better they were !!

Balza- defensive sound, when attacking he mixes some bad crosses with some absolutely perfect ones...needs more consistency

Camo- he made up for a few mediocre nights...his passing was on, and his dribbling was good

Zanetti- he was handling his midfield duties ok until he was injured, and replaced in the second half

Marchisio- TBH, I didnt really notice too much, be it good or bad. We were playing good football in the second half, and he was part of it

Paro- a mixed bag, but a nice assist on one of Palla's goals

Neddy- never stops running !! He made his way into the center, and was most effective there. Had some nice one two passes with DP

DP- passed the ball around well today, set up Palla for a goal, and was very active....missing only a goal

Palla- MOM !! His first Juventus hat-trick will dominate the press tomorrow, and he deserves it !! His hard work paid off. I dont think he's ready to replace Trez, but its a good start

Boji- he had a nice headed goal from a Neddy cross....he should be given more chances to shine !!

DD- made the right substitutions today, had his men focused for the entire 90 minutes, and made the most out of a team that wasnt afraid to attack us. We cant win every game 5-1, but we can certainly show the class that we had (especially in the second half) more frequently...and I think we have a game coming up with a certain Napoli team that is ready to be crushed !!
