6 games left for us and genoa = 3 x 6 = 18 points left on offer
7 games left for napoli = 3 x 7 = 21 points left for them

IF napoli win tonight we will be 7 points clear meaning we only need 11 points to be crowned champions whatever the case

IF napoli win all their games and genoa do the same and lose to napoli we need 11points to win and 7 points to be promoted.

IF Genoa win all their games and napoli also do but lose to genoa we need 10 points to be champions and 8 to be promoted

SO, in conclusion we need 3 more wins to be mathematically certain of promotion whatever the other results go like and 11 points (4 wins/3 wins 2 draws) to be mathematically certain of being champions!!

wooo that was like doing maths exams all over again!

So we'll be promoted at Arezzo if everything goes to plan?

DD has done a good job with us this year. He may not make it look sexy, but he gets the job done and that is what counts. I want Lippi back for sure, but if he doesn't come back I feel good with DD.

Guys, don't bother yourselves calculating how much points we need to secure our promotion and....

We're in Serie A already, let's think about the future.

I don't know why Mark did all these calculations. To my understanding that the first three get auto promotion. So the fourth in the table, which is Rimini, is lagging behind by 16 points. And since there are 18 still to be determined on the pitch, we need 3 points to guarantee a spot in the first 3!

Of course all this is based on the premise that the first three get promoted, ya?

:disagree: Only the first two are automatically promoted. The others have to have a play off to decide who is the third team promoted.
