pathetic, pathetic, pathetic and even more pathetic......

just read the report on channel 4 and it sounds like we were completely out played for almost the whole game apart from the 5 miniutes we scored 2. and im not suprised in the slightest.

DD is a bumbling idiot that is incapable of making intelligent decisions no matter what situation he is faced with, his first idiotic decision was the choice to play in a 4-3-3, WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING?????? and if you are going to be stupid enough to play that system at least chose the right f***ing players! ZALAYETA and TREZEGUET???? 2 OUT AND OUT STRIKERS???? you cant play 2 out and out strikers in a 4-3-3 it just is not going to work EVER. palla and DP should have supported trez, they are both more than capable to track back and help out the team as well as stretching the opposition defenders with width..... but no, why make a sensible decision when you can just be an idiot??? - DD's theory

the second utterly stupid choice was biri at RB, as soon as i saw him on the team sheet and realised who he was marking then i knew we were in for a long hard night. Papa Waigo has caused us an enormous amount of trouble in all the games we have played against cesena this season, he has absolutely destroyed us down the left with his pace and skill, so who do we send to mark him????? a clumsy old age pensioner who's only link to pace is the pacemaker he has fitted 5 years ago.

dont even get me started on DD's fear of using substitutions during the second half, although i'm sure turning to one of your players and saying "you will have 30 minutes to change this game" is a frightening concept it is something that HAS TO BE DONE to seize the initiative, ESPECIALLY when playing away from home and the lads are struggling, i appreciate that our bench was pretty diabolical but FFS these players are shattered after playing the whole season.

his first sub, was balza who came on for marchionni...... so a defender for a midfielder? leaving us with.... 5 defenders... 2 midfielders... 3 strikers.... when we are struggling like that you need to flood the midfield to keep posession not take people away from it, Zala should have been subbed for palladino and IF marchi HAS to be taken off then boji will have to do a job on the right, then biri should have been replaced by balza. And if your going to make a sub it should be with at least 20 mins of the game remaining, its just demoralising to bring a player on with 10 mins to go, thats what teams do to waste time not make an impact, and FFS when we are away from home... scrap that WE SHOULD ALWAYS FULLY UTILISE THE 3 AVALIABLE CHANGES WE ARE ALLOWED AND NOT IN THE LAST 5 MINUTES!!!!!!

I HATE YOU DD!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was pretty unimpressed with the team as well. That defense, save for Chiellini was atrocious, Legro was probably the best of the rest and that isn't saying a whole lot. Deschamps really didn't do a great job strategically today, and it showed. Cesena was much more sound positionally and strategically. Its also kind of scary how a concensus midtable Serie B club dominated this team for most of the game.

mike, zala was playing outstanding today

i was reaaally surprised..there was a reason why he didnt take him off..he played very well

legrotaglie is still the same idiot though
well i didnt see the game but my point was its stupid to play a 4-3-3 with trez and zala 2 out and out strikers because that way our midfield is more exposed, if zala was playing well then it should have been trez who was replaced by palla

Match Summary:

Cesena 2-2 Juventus
Juventus see their lead at the top cut to six points after this fiery thriller at the Stadio Manuzzi. The Bianconeri switched to a trident attack, mirroring Cesena’s habitual 4-3-3 system, but the home side was more accustomed to it and had a fantastic start. Papa Waigo found space down the right and thanks to Pelle’s dummy got the ball to Salvetti for a simple tap-in. Papa Waigo set up another great chance for Pellè moments later, denied by Legrottaglie, then Buffon had to perform a crucial save on Del Core just inside the box. Pellè also nodded over, but the game was shaken up in the five minutes leading up to half-time.
Nedved was furious when he had penalty appeals rejected for a push from Mezavilla and the tension escalated on the pitch as from the resulting long Chiellini throw-in Trezeguet was able to turn in with his thigh from six yards. Goalkeeper Sarti was at least a couple of yards behind his own line and an argument exploded between him and several Cesena teammates. As the players were still fuming at each other, Juventus snatched a second with Del Piero on the counter and Nedved was left acres of space for a shot to deflect off Ficagna and loop over Sarti. Tempers flared as the Czech was accused of celebrating too close to the Cesena bench and it took several people to calm Coach Fabrizio Castori down.
The half-time break was sorely needed and matters settled after the interruption, with Del Piero again setting up Nedved for an angled drive well parried by Sarti. The home side got back on track as Papa Waigo made it 2-2 by meeting a flicked-on corner kick at the far post. Del Piero led the fightback with a couple of swerving efforts wide, but it could’ve been 3-2 for Cesena when Buffon fingertipped a blistering Sabato strike over the bar and Ola turned a free header from the resulting corner kick off target. Buffon had to rush off his line to close down the pacey Papa Waigo in the final minute.
Scorers: Salvetti 11 (C), Trezeguet 42 (J), Nedved 43 (J), Papa Waigo 55 (C)
Cesena: Sarti; Doudou (Biserni 8), Zaninelli, Ficagna, Sabato; Mezavilla (Ola 68), Anastasi, Salvetti; Papa Waigo, Pellè, Del Core (De Feudis 75)
Juventus: Buffon; Birindelli, Boumsong, Legrottaglie, Chiellini; Marchionni (Balzaretti 76), Marchisio, Nedved (Bianco 87); Zalayeta, Trezeguet, Del Piero (Bojinov 84)

thats what i was expecting but .. del piero was having a bad day
the coaches were fighting, shouting with one another. and at half time, the cesena coach was saying something to del piero from far away, but then it just went to the commercials so..could be a reason why he was playing bad

WHY DO WE PLAY LEGROTAGLIE !! this genius passes like a moron

And Chiellini actually covered him well, so we're lucky. He wasn't too outstanding for me.
Yeah, Chiellini handled him well... but when it wasn't him, Papa Waigo had the whole area to himself.

Juve definitely needs more pace, especially on defense and wings. I don't think Nedved is quick enough, I really think he belongs in an AM type position... Marchionni was alright though, Camoranesi was sorely missed.

hhmmm old del boy has not been playing particularly well lately anyway but yeah that could be a reason, i hope he picks it up in the next game against bologna with a perfect hattrick

Spot on, nedved belongs in the centre, he doesnt have the legs for a wing role ESPECIALLY in serie a
