I think it'd be good to come away with a tie at Udinese, they're a resilient team on a confident streak.
with in the current circumstances i dont think that a draw would satisfy anyone.
-they were outplayed against viola
-they dont have their coach
- they lost their star player
Their team is just messed up

I wont settle for anything less than a win. And thats because we are pretty much FULL Team. I really highly rate this year's team. Its the best in a very long time.
Its hard for me to see us losing with Vieira and Emerson in midfield. WE just have to watchout on the counter attacks, as almost all their goals come from this way.

Udinese freeze out Iaquinta! Tuesday 20 September, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Udinese have sent shockwaves around Serie A by confirming that Vincenzo Iaquinta has been frozen out of the squad for refusing to sign a contract extension.

“With great personal regret I realised today that Iaquinta is the only one of our lads who doesn’t see himself as part of the Udinese project aimed at achieving certain goals,” explained director general Pietro Leonardi in a statement on the official club website this evening.

“All of the other players in the squad proved their deep faith in the essence of Udinese by each renewing their contracts without exception. Iaquinta has today placed himself outside of the project.”

Iaquinta was not part of the squad set to face Juventus on Wednesday evening and, at first, it had been reported that he was suffering from flu symptoms.
However, the shock truth emerged and Udinese have chosen to freeze out the man who scored a hat-trick in their Champions League debut against Panathinaikos.

“In the hope that he can take a more reasonable attitude, for the good of the squad we will in the meantime leave space to those who believe in the objectives of the group.”

good news for juve:D

Agreed on that a draw wouldn’t be satisfied.
But that their team is messed up?
I don´t think the players agree on that. They are in a good striking mode (also scored 2 against Viola) and if they just sharpens their defense…

Agreed.
Nice to read that someone is finally giving cred to this years team.

well i put that in a wrong way, i dont think all things that happened in the last week or soo are going to help the atmosphere in the team.It just cant help it.
But Viola came from behind to beat them by a 2 goal margin, so i dont think its only the defense's problem

I'm expecting a win tonight, especially as Iaquinta is not playing. It will still be tough though. 1-2 (Ibrahimovic, Del Piero).

Will the game be shown on PPLive tonight? Or on any other streams?

Thanks! I've been browsing this forum for years but now I've decided to start posting too.

Yeah, I think both of them will score. It's Zlatan's turn now and I think he'll try really hard tonight. Then hopefully DP will come on and get one step closer to breaking the record!

Would be great if DP got this record this year!
And Zlatan really needs to net now. I´m patient, but Ibra him self is getting frustrated, and that affect his game.

Serie A Preview: Udinese-Juventus
9/21/2005 9:43:00 AM
This week two teams meet in what could be a promising encounter. Udinese, the up and coming team, vs. Juve, the established power whose octopus tentacles keep growing.
Background

This game could have been far more interesting as if Udinese won against Fiorentina they would have been in joint first place with Juventus. Udinese, have played well till they played Fiorentina. In that game the Viola dominated and played well. Udinese did score two goals, but it was evident that they were tired and they are not used to the rigors of European competition. Remember last year as they bowed out in the UEFA Cup? They are still a solid team, but they face a merciless Juventus which has one thing on the Agenda: Win! Cosmi will have to dig deep and try to salvage lost spirit they suffered due to their first loss. However, he has a full team at his disposal. It is tough, But Udinese always give Juve a run for their money.

Juve want it all this year and by the way they are playing they could. They beat Brugges in Mid week and they dominated and could have scored more. The team is united and their black sheep DP, is playing well and showing what he is capable of. They know that Milan is in crisis, but they too know that Inter, Palermo and Fiorentina are high flying and losing points will not help them. A good result will earn them points which could give them a safety net down the road. Work hard now and reap the rewards later is their philosophy.

Team news

Juventus
No suspensions, but Buffon, Brindelli are still injured, along with Thuram, Pessotto and Chimenti.

Udinese
Cosmi has a full team at his disposal.

Players to watch

Iaquinta (Udinese)
A good goal scorer. Can he penetrate the Juve defence remains to be seen. Thuram is injured, so it is possible.

Del Piero (Juventus)
Will start again. Will he reproduce his old form or will he just regress back to the old style: one good others bad. We will see. A threat on the field never-the-less.

Probable starting XI’s

Udinese (4-3-3):
De Santics, Juarez, Natali, Felipe, D. Zenoni, Pinzo, Obodo, Muntari, Candela, Di Natale, Iaquinta. Coach: Cosmi.

Juventus (4-3-3):
Abbiati, Blasi, Kovac, F. Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Lamoranesi, Emerson, Vieria, Nedved, Trezeguet, Del Piero. Coach: Capello.

Probable outcome

Juve are on a high and are not willing to give away points. Udinese face a tough task, however these are the games in which the team can prove its worth and names are made. Udinese can do it, as Juve’s defence is injured, but Juve are no pushovers and they will come out to win and dominate the pitch. Juve to win by 1-0 and Udinese will be suffering from a loss of points. However, they can pick them up in other games.
