Totally agree.
My point was just that he doesn´t have any strong areas.
Not in his positioning, not in reflexes, not in penalties, not in starting a counterstrike fast…
I could go on and on.
He is an average good keeper and should guard the post for teams as Genoa (if they hadn’t got penalized) or maybe Lecce…
Don't really agree with you there. He is not the greatest but Genoa?? thats a bit harsh! We got a solid defense, thats why I am not really worried about abbiati in our goal, but Crosses and set pieces concern me because defenders cant do much about them....

Isn’t it quite a conflict? Being Irish and cheering for an Italian team?
Regarding the history between the people. (Primary thinking of New York and the emigrants for almost 200 years ago)
:D
no conflict at all considering 90% of irish people support teams in the english premiership now theirs conflict and oppresion for 800 years.

the atmosphere at the recent ireland v italy friendly was brilliant and in the pubs after the game great discussions. after all the great liam brady won a scudetto for juve.

and italians are very realistic and humble and down to earth unlike the english who talk about winning the world cup before they even are assured of qualifying:D

my main concern with abbiatti is him tendecy to punch and parry shots and crosses in dangerous positions instead of simply catching them.

still imo the defence are more alert knowing that they dont have the worlds best goalkeeper behind them and the work harder to shut down every attack so when buffon comes back they will have developed good habits

Ibrahimovic Respects Del Piero
9/20/2005 7:34:00 AM
The Juventus forward paid tribute to his captain during an award ceremony.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic won the best foreign player of the year in Serie A at an award ceremony, Eurochampion, held in Udine, during which he was asked to comment about team mate and captain Alessandro Del Piero.

“He’s a great professional, a great captain and a great player. He will be very important for our season.”
Zlatan is not that selfish. So I guess we should stop with the DP vs zlatan threads.
