Torino had a much more motivation that us to win this game, just look at their players crying after the game ::shock:: as if they lost the CL final
Did u c our players after the game - they looked like they had won the CL final/Lo Scudetto. I could have sworn I saw someone with their shorts off when our players went to band by our supporters curve

It was a ordinary derby in general terms, hard, ugly and sleepy match.

My conclusions are:

-Del Piero is too slow now for classic foward,he should be behind 2 strikers.
-Palla isn't made to be a winger,he is an free roaming attacker and with his technique and flair he should be fitted more forward.
-we should find a replacement for Nedved,ASAP!!!
-Treze was MOM,I have never seen him like that, how much headers he put in the feet of our midfield.....awesome,with that kind of Treze we would rule!!!
-Zanetti is a king,he actually convince me to stop thinking how much we miss Emerson
-why the hell did we bought Molinaro?(I had to cry for Balza)

DP did some very good things, he is getting better. He still isn't in his best shape, but the only thing that rests for him is getting al lot of matches !

I only see him made 1 bad descission in the whole match & I know cause I observed him very close with pen and paper. It was from a counter that he runs to long with the ball & then played it 2 Palladino instead of Trez.

Trezeguet outside his goal did nothing, but he is only there for in the 16m area and not for making the game...

Nedved was a big dissapointment, he just dont fit in a 4-3-3, better put Brazzo in his place!

If u say dp should stay on the bench I would say yes after the match against Roma, but if u don't see that he has done some good stuff yesterday (with all respect), u don't know the term 'football' ...
Del Piero was average yesterday. That is just your Del Piero bias talking from you. Not bad and not very good also. I can imagine what this team could do with a younger, faster and more powerful and pacey striker.

- DP is slow nowadays that's true... still his performance was good yesterday and he provided a great assist to Neddy which he unbelievably missed.

- Palla would fit perfectly in a trident which consist of him, Iaquinta and of course Trezeguet.

- Zanetti is not only better than Emerson, I would dare to say he is easily a starter in any midfield in Italy (including Roma, Milan and Inter) if I was Donadoni I wouldn't hesitate a second to call him back to NT.

- This is the first time I watch Molinaro playing a full match and God I'm already missing Balza (Does anyone notice smoe similarities in shape "ONLY" between Molinaro and Zambrotta).

Novellino blames the ref

Sunday 30 September, 2007
Torino Coach Walter Novellino was furious after the derby loss, as he insists David Trezeguet was offside.

“Trezeguet started the move in an offside position and the referee cannot change the rules,” he snapped after Juventus’ 1-0 victory.

“I am very angry, as this is a horrific thing to see. One works so hard and then you miss out on valuable points.”

The incident was debatable, as the changes in the offside rule may exonerate Trezeguet, as he showed no interest in the ball when it was first played and did not reach him. This is, however, a matter of interpretation.

When the Frenchman did get the ball, it was passed to him by a Torino defender, so he could not have been offside and it effectively 'started’ a new move.

Novellino believes this is not the first time Toro have been on the receiving end of a refereeing error and called on designator Pierluigi Collina.

“We need to make Collina understand that we are here too. I am sorry to see our position in the table, as we are playing good football.”

This was the 221st Derby della Mole in all competition, consisting of 88 Juventus wins, 74 for Torino and 59 draws.

The Granata have not beaten their local rivals since April 9, 1995 with a 2-1 'away’ sealed by Ruggero Rizzitelli’s brace.

Love the pic, Mark!

Cairo slams Trez goal

Torino President Urbano Cairo has joined Coach Walter Novellino in criticising the decision to allow David Trezeguet’s winner in the Derby della Mole.

After a four-year hiatus, Turin’s city rivals locked horns at the Stadio Olimpico in a tight and tense affair.

Just as the game looked set to finish in a stalemate, Trezeguet delivered a sucker punch to the Granata with a 93rd minute strike.

However, replays suggest that the French marksman may have been in an offside position and the Toro camp have reacted with fury.

After Novellino’s fierce attack on the refereeing team last night, Cairo has added his angry views on the controversial goal.

“Once again we were hurt by a refereeing mistake,” he roared. “It’s the third game in a row that it has happened.

“Against Siena they were awarded two penalties and then on Wednesday we had a clear shout turned down when Cesare Natali was brought down. We are getting used to it.

“I gave the team the congratulations they deserved for the way they played. We left the pitch with our heads held high, despite the bad luck.

“We looked most likely to win and Matteo Sereni was barely tested.”

You are right about Palla and Zanetti, Molinaro isn't similar to Zambrotta even in shape

I agree, and about Trez, I dont know if you're serious or being sarcastic

I dont remeber any good play for DP , except the pass to Nedved when Nedved shoot over the post , and when he dribbeld 2 defenders and earned a Free kick, that was all of DP yesterday .... other than that DP showed no quality

It's so obvious that many people here are Del Piero fans , No Juve fans , they prefer seeing DP plays than seeing Juventus win :disagree:

Gigli: Trezeguet Goal Was Legal

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has stated that David Trezeguet’s late winner against Torino last night was completely valid.

The French striker struck with a fantastic volleyed finish in the 93rd minute to break Torino’s hearts and give the Bianconeri a 1-0 derby victory.

Trezeguet was standing well in an offside position when he received the ball, but as the last touch came from the head of Granata defender Hernan Dellafiore, the goal was correctly allowed to stand.

The Torino players and management were furious with this decision. Coach Walter Novellino declared after the game: “I am very angry. Trezeguet started the move in an offside position – this is a horrific thing to see. You work so hard for valuable points and then this happens.”

However Cobolli Gigli has rubbished all Torino accusations that the goal should have been disallowed. “The winner of Trezeguet was absolutely legitimate. The regularity of the goal was clear to see,” sniped the President.

Juventus’ victory takes them up to an impressive second place in the Serie A standings, just one point behind leaders Inter. The Bianconeri’s next game is a tricky trip to third-placed Fiorentina. La Viola are one of only two teams who are still unbeaten in the league and picked up an impressive 3-0 win at Livorno on Saturday evening.

Molinaro wasn't that good, Nedved looked out of place. We didn't really push too much in 2T for a goal which worries me.

Trez is a saint though. Nobody could have tucked that away like he did.

I can't believe it  Our board is defending us

I expected something like: "we are guilty and we are ready to give Torino a well deserved one point".

Guyz !! I just cant understand how can some of the posters here say that we had a good game, we deserved to win, DP was okay, did you watch the game or you're just commenting on a 1-0 victory

We were HORRIBLE, we didnt control the game, we kept playing stupid long balls

Also DP and Nedved were extremely bad, they humiliate themselves by this performance as they harm the team for sure, DP tortured us with his slowness and his instance on dribbling

Trez didnt do anything except the miracle that gave us the 3 points, thanks a million for saving us but where were you the other 90 mins

Ranieri's choices weren't the right ones, whether the starting formation or the substitutions

Finally , DP should be benched, at least for now, I cant believe that but I missed Iaquinta yesterday
I totally agree with you. On the hand there is no sweeter way to win a derby. :D After such a torturers game, yeah Toro deserved to be beaten after being tortured :D, we need to bench DP & Neddy. They could do with a long vacation.

Although Toro deserved to win this game, Trez yet again proved how he is one of the world's most dramatic and top poachers and goalscorers. Juve had no control on the game, Recoba had an upper hand over the defenders, and if it weren't for Ventola's poor finishing, Toro could have been at least 1 or 2 goals over Juve.

Just for the record Toro didn't deserve to win the game. Both teams were pathetic. We missed a couple of great chances too.

we did NOT play 4-3-3 last night
oké 4-4-2 but with Palladino playing very high, it seems that nedved has to do 2 much defensive work and his condition is not as good for doing attacks also...

I allready mentioned on other forums that I dont mind 2 see DP on the bench for this match, but if u think I'm not a Juvé fan because I dont agree with your vision/opinion...

I dont care, not every person can be as good as u it seems

But I dont only watch the final action before goal, but I also look how the attack started etc. But hell why I even bother, with your preconception :shifty:

I watch, record and see the match again, so ...

Btw its not because this:
Del Piero is beyond legend now ! he's immortal
is in my sign I'm a superbe fan of Del Piero, first I'm a fan of Juvé, but this signature is from when he scored so many in serie B.

I think its been 2-3 months when I've been here the last time...

But it seems that I'm only a DP fan, maybe somebody can help me to find a del piero forum only then?? ....

Dude, we are all DP fans , cuz he's a juve legend , our captain, top scorer....etc , but he's not immortal, he's not untouchable, he's not THE Del piero anymore, when he plays well I'll be happy for him, but with this poor performance I prefer giving a chance to other players like Iaq or Palla

Even if you are a real DP fan and not a Juve fan, you should prefer benching him rather than watching him humilating himself
