Cool cool, not gonna happen tho.

Anyway, here some stats:

The Turin Derby.

Matches Played: 178
Torino won: 55
Draw: 53
Juve won: 70

:eyebrows:

So as I said before, in 7 years of my Juventino life, I've been checking out the one-on-one stats with all our opponents before every game and here's the conclusion:

There isn't a single Italian club, who'd beat Juve more than we beat them.
Thats not true.
I remember very well, there was a team in Serie b last year that had a better record against us.
We played them smthing like 4 games only.
maybe Rimini but I am not sure.

But other than this We are Simply The Best.

Ranieri Fears Recoba

Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri has admitted that his team will have to watch Torino star Alvaro Recoba during the Turin derby and has called for fair play from his squad.

Juventus and Torino meet at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow evening in the first Derby della Mole since 2003. The Bianconeri are hot favourites for the clash after their excellent last two results against Roma and Reggina, however Ranieri is expecting a tough encounter.

“If there was one player I would remove from the Torino team for this game, it would be Recoba,” said Ranieri. “He is a player who can create something at any given moment.

“Moreover I have the utmost respect for Coach Novellino. Torino have a clear project like us and I hope that in the future we will both be fighting against each other for some important honours.

“The derby is different to any other game, you can’t explain it. I want us to fight and battle to win but always within the rules of fair play.”

Ranieri rested a host of first-team players, including Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved, during Wednesday’s crushing 4-0 win over Reggina. The majority of these are expected to return tomorrow but reports suggest that Portuguese midfielder Tiago, who had an excellent game against the Calabrians, could keep his place in the side.

Iaquinta out of derby day

Juventus are without Vincenzo Iaquinta for the Turin derby due to a calf problem, so Claudio Ranieri is forced to tinker with his squad once more.

The striker has had an excellent start to the campaign with three goals, including the last minute equaliser at Roma last Sunday, but had already missed out on Wednesday’s 4-0 win over Reggina.

The right calf injury has still not cleared up, so Iaquinta will be in the stands for the derby against Torino.

He is joined by long-term injury cases Jean-Alain Boumsong, Mauro Camoranesi and Jorge Andrade, as well as the suspended Jonathan Zebina.

“Iaquinta’s absence does complicate my plans somewhat,” confessed Ranieri, who had perhaps been prepared to field the same trident attack that held Roma 2-2.

“He was doing very well, but we have seen that there are players who gave a good response when called upon.”

Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet are the prime candidates to start upfront, but it remains to be seen whether Tiago Mendes or Raffaele Palladino will be given a creative role behind the pairing.

Juventus squad: 1 Buffon, 2 Birindelli, 3 Chiellini, 4 Almiron, 6 Zanetti, 7 Salihamidzic, 10 Del Piero, 11 Nedved, 12 Belardi, 17 Trezeguet, 19 Criscito, 20 Palladino, 21 Grygera, 23 Nocerino, 24 Olivera, 28 Molinaro, 30 Tiago, 33 Legrottaglie

1 Buffon
2 Birindelli
3 Chiellini
4 Almiron
6 Zanetti
7 Salihamidzic
10 Del Piero
11 Nedved
12 Belardi
17 Trezeguet
19 Criscito
20 Palladino
21 Grygera
23 Nocerino
24 Olivera
28 Molinaro
30 Tiago
33 Legrottaglie

I don't hope Olivera get play minutes. He is not good enough for Juventus. In Januari we can maybe sell him to a middle table team in Serie A.

I want to see this but I think Ranieri will surprise us!
This is a great formation. But i also think Ranieri surprise us. Maybe Palladino will be in the formation. Almiron will stay on bench. Molinaro plays also good against Reggina.

Serie A Preview: Torino – Juventus

Torino (16th Serie A, 4 points) v Juventus (3rd Serie A, 10 points)
When: Sunday, 30th September, kick-off 2030 local (CET)
Where: Stadio Olimpico, Turin

Derby Della Mole

The last time this derby was played was in the 2002/03 season when the Bianconeri defeated Torino 4-0 and 2-0 in the two games. The Granata then went on to be relegated during that year and since then Turin did not have any other derby game.

Now that it is back, the whole city is full of enthusiasm ahead of Sunday evening’s clash which goes beyond the important of the league positions and points, as the pride of the city colours is at stake, being the Granata ones or the Bianconeri ones.

Difficult Situation

Coach Claudio Ranieri is facing the difficult task of assembling the best eleven for this game as he has five first team players all out due to injuries or suspensions, with many problems in the defensive line-up, even though the rearguard showed some signs of improvement against Reggina on Wednesday.

Still the motivation and grit that the Juventus players have shown so far this season has been impressive and was highlighted by an eloquent gesture of Gigi Buffon at the end of the match against Cagliari.

Despite everything, the Bianconeri are just one point away from the league leader Roma and Inter, and a positive result in that game can further motivate the Old Lady to grab all three points against the Granata.

Cuore Granata

Torino are renowned for using their 'cuore granata’ (granata heart) especially in such games against Juventus, where they give all their best till the very end to obtain a positive result. They will surely need this when considering the latest results which have been quite disappointing.

Their last win arrived in the Coppa Italia against Rimini over a month ago and in Serie A Walter Novellino’s team is languishing in the bottom positions. This was supposed to be a different season than last year’s but things do not look very positive for Torino.

TEAM NEWS

Torino
Novellino will have to watch his players from the stands as he is suspended, whereas Franceschini, Lazetic, Vailatti, Stellone and Di Loreto are all ruled out due to injuries.

Di Michele is still suspended till the 30th of October.

Probable Formation (4-3-2-1): Sereni, Comotto, Natali, Dellafiore, Lanna, Grella, Corini, Barone, Rosina, Recoba, Ventola

Juventus
The Bianconeri will be without the injured Marchionni, Boumsong, Camoranesi, Andrade and Iaquinta, who did not manage to recover in time for this clash.

Zebina is still suspended, whereas Zanetti is just one yellow card away from suspension.

Probable Formation (4-4-2): Buffon, Grygera, Legrottaglie, Criscito, Chiellini, Salihamidzic, Nocerino, Zanetti, Nedved, Trezeguet, Del Piero

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Recoba (Torino)
He's the player that Ranieri fears the most, and with his Inter past, he will surely try to score against the Nerazzurri and Granata's most hated rivals. Can either be the man of the match or anonymous throughout the game: no way in between.

Del Piero (Juventus)
Pinturicchio will need to prove his doubters wrong following some disappointing performances of late. What better occasion than the Turin derby to show he is still good enough to compete at these levels?

PREDICTION

Derbies are always difficult to predict, especially such a heated one like the 'Derby della Mole'. Juventus start off as favourites and judging from previous derbies, this match looks like it will be a high scoring one.

Torino 2 - 3 Juventus
