Yeah you proved me that I am wrong. Also Beppe was convinced too about his scoring skills that's why he sold him.
I did prove you wrong. You said he needs 100 chances to score a goal. I showed you that his conversion rate is actually quite good.

Just admit you had no idea what you're talking about, and we can move on from this.

Matri has a lot of flaws, but conversion of chances isn't one of them. Not for his time at Juventus. Not in the slightest. I don't want him here, though as a 4th/5th striker on loan, he's not all that bad... but that doesn't change that you were 100% wrong.

I think we should take into account the psychological factor as well, which is very important. How can you keep concentration and make yourself play for full 100%, when you are 15 points ahead and opponents keep dropping points again and again. In that situation its very difficult to stay fully motivated.

So its not only about missing important players or bad shape and tiredness

It seems it was the Torino fans who set off the paper bomb in their own curva, according to the prosecutor of Turin: The paper bomb during the Derby della Mole was not launched by Juve Ultras, but it was self-produced.

Good! Now they better not ban our fans for anything.

Too hard words for a player like Matri .If you think that I don't have an idea what I am talking about and that I am 100% wrong then okay. It's your opinion .Let's forget what I wrote about Matri and that's it.It's not that big deal for such a player to write few posts insisting to admit who is right and who is wrong. It's not worth of .

You're just blatantly disregarding facts here.

2011-12 10 goals - 68 shots attempted. 1 goal every 6.8 shots attempted. He also had 3 legitimate goals disallowed that season. Against Milan, Napoli, Parma. Which would have put him at 13 goals - 71 shots, 1 goal every 5.4 shots.

2012-13 was even better with 10 goals from 48 shots attempted or 1 goal every 4.8 shots attempted.

In his two full seasons here, his chance conversion rate was actually quite decent.

Quags for example on the other hand:

2011-12: 49 shots - 4 goals. 1 goal every 12.25 shots

2012-13: 88 shots - 13 goals. 1 goal every 6.8 shots

Another example. Amazing Tevez this year, who is very amazing:

133 shots - 20 goals or 1 goal every 6.5 shots

Are you going to trash Tevez for having a bad conversion rate too?

Matri, during his time at Juventus, was very decent at converting chances, this was one of his best features. You are mistaking Matri missing occasional ridiculously easy chances, for missing a lot of chances. He has a tendency to fuck up the easiest of chances, but his actual chance conversion rate was very good for his entire time here.

So now, that I've proved you very wrong, please apologize. Thank you.

There is not a single statistic in the world that is going to convince me that Matri has not been insanely lucky to have the career he has had so far.

Am I biased? Yes. I am not a fan of his whatsover.

Just thought I'd share :D.

ANSA now says Juve fans threw the paper bomb.

However, news wire ANSA is now reporting that, having reviewed video evidence from the stadium, it has been determined that fans of the Bianconeri launched the explosive.

Our fans are disgusting. If racist chants and homemade bombs are the norm for our Curva then our fans are no different than those of Inter or Napoli.

    Disgusting.

are you comparing Tevez' shots which are a lot of times created by himself, form outside the box, with player(s) surrounding him etc. with Matri's which are mostly tap ins and close ranged shots with a lot of space around him? Tevez (and Quag too) take much harder shots, so its more difficult for them to score. thats like comparing FG % from Kobe Bryant with FG % from DeAndre jordan :p

nothing against Matri (i like him actually and think he was a decent player for us, especially in the 1st two seasons), just saying ;)

Not justifying but seems abnormal for such a thing from our fans. Torino has had a good season but its incomparable to ours. Yes the torino scum fans pelted our bus and wouldn't be suprised if they played a lot of provocation. However Juve fans take paper bombs to a city rival with just in mind to blow them up?.. sou ds too much but then it only takes one retarded individual amongst thousands.

Of course there's a difference. Hence the reason Matri takes so few shots per season, because he is an almost exclusive in-the-box goalscorer (your point about tap-ins is quite wrong though, he scored surprisingly few of those for us, most of his goals were outside the 6 yard box). The point was to quiet stupid criticism of an aspect of his game that isn't one he deserves criticism for. His conversion rate is quite good as far as in-the-box type goalscorers go. Not some stupid crap like people here whining that he takes 100 chances to score 1 goal.

Matri has many many flaws and clearly is not good enough to be starting for Juventus, but stupid and ridiculous exaggeration of them, and downright making other flaws up is.... well... incredibly stupid and ridiculous.

Those bombs are relatively common in the stadium, unfortunately. It only takes one clown to cause lots of trouble.

Having said that, a bunch of Torino idiots wanted to turn the place into a war zone with attacks on our players, so if you keeping prodding a bear (or in this case, a moron) then it will react.
