suck it bovines.
Coming from a 2-2 draw with Tottenham that got the whole world criticizing, I expected Juve to come with a strong performance.

Instead, Juve played the usual game of taking initiative until having a lead, and then decided to give opponent the ball and pray that they don't concede. Works against small teams all the time. But is exactly the reason why we can't capitalize on leads and get bitten in champs league.

Without higuain and mandzukic, we had no finisher today or any focal point.

Only bright side to this game is Bernie.

Decent performance, considering Torino were coming into this with their studs sharpened. Let's keep on saving that energy!

A victory that came ahead of the Napoli game which usually see us relaxed and expecting drama but alas this time around they are so strong and their opponent is insignificant.

We coped well with a crucial early injury and allowed Torino almost nothing (so passive, so ugly) and it was mainly from Torino not even trying. It was good seeing Dybala play but hopefully it won't be at the expense of Higuain being sidelined long. Alex Sandro did great in that advanced role and Bernardeschi linked really good up front. Other than that the match was without so many events.

We put a stranglehold on the game which is exactly what we needed to do in the situation. A second goal would have been nice though.

Torino are an average team and average teams don't tend to be able to break down the Juve defence when we decide to do that, or at least not in regular play. But there's always the risk from a set piece or some fluke like the Caceres shot, so it's not ideal to be 1-0 for a long period in a derby. Did Toro ever look like they thought they would score? Only Iago was dangerous. Mazzarri had them switching wings and getting crosses in but left Belotti on his own, which made no sense.

First reports about Higuain says that he got a knock only not a bruise but Berna is also injured putting ice on his knee once he went out.
