That's questionable, Zlatan. It looked to me like Ibrahimovic tried to score with his header but it was blocked by either the goalkeeper or the defender and DP tapped in the rebound.

um yes and that called an assist because zlatan created the chance with his header.

Funny how Juventus is unbeaten in both CL and Serie A since Zlatan arrived. He must really suck

He hasn't scored latley, but he plays a very good game overall.

Really? That doesn't really make sense to me, since Juve has won the scudetto more recently than the Champions League. Especially after coming so close on so many occasions, and most recently in light of Nedved's comments :touched: I thought we were gunning for the CL (even though of course we're going to try to win everything ;))

I personally would rather win the CL. It's more prestigious and we look a bit silly having won so many domestic championships but so few CL's :(
actually the way i see it, football club's first priority is always their domestic league while Europe is more like a bonus......only reining league champions is more ambitious to win the Cl....;)

Creating a chance and assisting someone are two different things imo. Taking a shot and having it saved for someone to convert the rebound is not an assist as far as I'm concerned and that's what happened last night.

Do you really think that Juve are unbeaten because of Zlatan? Do you really believe that his contributions have been more telling than those of Zebina, Cannavaro, Emerson and Capello? Is it fair for you to imply that I hate Ibrahimovic just because I said that he didn't assist Del Piero?

I'm glad that Ibrahimovic is here and I know what he's capable of, but his game has alot of flaws and he was very poor last night. He has done some good things since arriving and I've given him credit for that, but when he plays badly I'll criticise him.

right stuard! IMO Zlatan should be critziced as any other player!!

but IMO we should not forget this player has no pre season with the team, has now nearly 10 matches as they play together, and that is not that much!! other players need months and a season! I think a little bit more time and Zlatan will show his class!!

I also think he is sometimes to selfish, but that is a thing which Capello has to work with him!

He could use a bit of time to get to know the guys and their on the pitch movements and whatever, but he is definitely too selfish and like any other player should be criticised.

I agree, it is another thing to adapt well to the new team, but you got sometimes the feeling Zlatan only wants to make everything on his own!!

He has to learn some lessons in this things, hopefully Capello can give him that!

That is correct.......

Now where do I get started with the review ????

Oh yeah....Camo and Zlatan STILL havent been taught how to pass, and Appiah STILL sucks !!!!!

As far as the game went, we started out very poorly, and Siena came out attacking. Siena came out like an EPL team- all offense, good runs, nice passes, etc. We were on our heels for a good part of the entire first half. We did nothing right in the first half, and the ONLY thing worse than the way we were playing was the shooting of the Siena players !!!

Dont these guys practice ??? None of the Siena players could hit the broadside of a barn with their shots... .. Thank god we werent playing a better team, we could have EASILY been down 2 or 3 goals at the half....

The second half for us was completely different . DP showed up, and gave us reminders of how he used to play. He missed 1 good chance early in the game, but more than made up for it

Again, our defense was good, and Buffon was his usual self.............

Yes, I know he tried to score, but the assist was still his, doesnt matter if he tried to pass it or not. Think of it this way: had he not been there and shot, Del Piero wouldnt have scored.

actually, being a zlatan fan (i dont support juve), im really dissapointed in him so far.
all matches ive seen with juve (the three cl games) he has been really really shitty, and if its true that his game vs bayern was his best so far for juve i think critizing him is right.

knowing his capabilities i know he'll becoem a star eventually but im a bit surprised that he's been playing this far under his level im used too
