About Criscito I share a different view.

Criscito, as we always know, has been tipped as one of the brightest prospects in Italy, and this is one of the matches to let him gain experience. Due to his inexperience Totti totally owned him and because of that he became nervy and made him malperform due to a lost of confidence. Such scenes are common as youngsters usually are not matured enough to handle mishaps. I believe that taking out Criscito for this game is a good move, but replacing him with another nervy defender really gives me goosbumps. Constant exposure to such players will definitely let him learn how to handle them.

I was scared to death when I saw that Legro replaced Criscito, but luckily he didn't make any mistakes.

Football doesn't work like that. You can't say it finished 2-2 so if DP scored the penalty we would've won. If DP had scored you don't know what would've happened after that, and we sure as hell wouldn't have been pushing for an equaliser if he had scored.

Roma were better than us today. A lot better. Perrotta missed an open goal, Mancini wasted a great opportunity and Buffon pulled off a number of great saves. We didn't deserve to win this game, we didn't even deserve a point so we should be happy with what we got.
i know what u mean... but we can only wonder what effect that penalty wud've had IF he had scored!!!

oh well... a point from the current leaders aint too bad! hell even Inter drew! :D

It was a well deserved point in a game which we could've won very easily. I was impressed by Juve today. Midfield and attack were pretty good, but we still need a new experienced defender.

My ratings:

Buffon 6.5 - Made some great saves, no wonder why he's #1 in the world.

Grygera 7 - Our best defender today IMO. Played great on the right side after coming back from injury, and then covered well the CB position when Andrade got injured.

Andrade 6 - Was solid as always. Pitty he was injured. I hope it's nothing serious.

Criscito 5 - He's a great defender, but lacks experience. He was at fault for Roma's two goals there. Still has a lot to learn. As vlatko said (or someone else can't remember), you can't be a great defender on Serie A at the age of 20.

Chiellini 5.5 - Not a good game by Chiellini, left the left flank exposed quite a few times.

Nocerino 6 - He played well, but he can't cross for shit. He should've came back more often to help Grygera on the right side.

Zanetti 7 - One of our best players on the pitch today. He was quiet, but did his job.

Nedved 6 - He was mostly invisible throughout the match.

Iaquinta 7 - Our man of the match IMO. An assist and a goal. Had a few good runs on the right, and overall did well.

Trezeguet 6 - Except for the goal, he was invisible.

Del Piero 5.5 - He kept the ball way too much today. Unlucky about that penalty miss, but these things happen to great champions too.

Palladino, Legro and Birindelli played good when they came in.
Nice ratings.. I would give Andrade a 6.5.. I wish we had to of him :D

The game started off pretty well with Juventus playing a very tactical game knowing that Roma will attack from the very first second. Two ball winners of Nocerino and Zanetti in the middle with Nedved taking the job of distributing balls to a trident forward line. It was evident that counter attacks was our weapon and Trezeguet answered by scoring after a Iaquinta cross.

Roma continued their work and their best moment was Cicinho coming in serving them well both offensively with his crossing, passing game and defensively by shutting out our left flank. Totti could manage to outmuscle the inexperienced Criscito to equalize and he found the net another time after some chaos in the penalty area.

The second half show Roma taking control of the whole game but not able to convert their chances partly due to bad finishing and mostly due to brilliance from our very own Superman. Iaquinta in the end could see his efforts translate to a very sweet lob aver Doni from a header after a throw in.

Buffon 7: He saved the Juve goal and made a big effort being in goal and leading the weak defensive line. The two goals he conceded are not his fault and couldn't have done anything to save them.

Grygera 7: Our best defender whether at the side or in the middle after replacing Andrade. He is solid and I prefer to see him more as a central defender because he doesn't run forward.

Andrade 6: He was average, he could have helped Criscito in the first goal.

Criscito 5: He is not ready for such encounters yet. He shows some bravery but he's an amateur.

Chiellini 6.5: Solid but was often outmuscled by Cicinho. He picked it up later in the game.

Zanetti 7: Excellent, wins balls, marks the midfield and overall makes the defenders job easier. I hope he doesn't get injured.

Nocerino 6.5: Played a very good first half but was invisible in the second.

Nedved 6.5: The 4-3-3 didn't suit him well or probably the counter attack tactics was the problem, he was playing deep in the first half but he was able to do moments of magic from time to time. He became very much active when the formation changed to a 4-4-2, winning fouls up front and making trouble for Roma's defense.

Del Piero 6: He worked well in the beginning but he became tired as the minutes ticked. Missing a penalty was the highlight. Good luck for coming games. I prefer that we see him come from the bench than starting the game.

Trezeguet 6.5: he worked very well in the first half, getting on the scoresheet and just being there annoying Mexes.

Iaquinta 7: Our best player, a lot of energy, a lot of hard work, an assist and finally the icing on the cake an equalizing goal lobbing it over Doni.

Leggrotagglie 6.5: He was better than Criscito but he was also shaky sometimes.

Birindelli 6.5: Did his job well, everyone thought he scored the equalizing goal :D

Palladino 6.5: He did very good, his fresh legs, his movements and his will to fight made it hard for the Roma defenders and he really helped Iaquinta to cause even more trouble.

Ranieri 7: Very good approach, he has read Roma pretty well before coming. He has prepared the team well and he did the appropriate substitutions at the right time.

Decent performance from Juve against a team that is arguably playing the best football in Europe at the moment. They are the sort of team that will be most difficult for Juve to play against due to their pace and width, so they deserve some credit for grinding out a draw.

I think Zanetti has had a terrific season so far, every match we have played he has kept things together in the midfield. He doesnt stand out but if you watch him carefully you can see how important he is for us.

I really hope Andrade is ok, he's been solid for us and looked to be settling in well. I would hate to see our defence without him. At least Grygera looked good today.

Palladino deserves a mention too, he looks to be a useful player for us if we play with 3 up front. Criscito was unlucky with Totti, he just got too tight to him, but he will hopefully learn from this and go on to improve. I think we should keep faith in him.

In my opinion Roma look dangerous because our player play very carefully and give them space to get the possesion. But our defender use the offside trap everytime Roma player give the through ball and try to pace up the game.

I think offside trap is the best solution to neutralize Roma speed up the game.
Because if we can't catch their speed.

yea credit to C-Ra he showed that Juve was in Rome to win and not just sit back...but Criscito is not yet good enough IMO...the way Totti just pushed him aside for their 1st goal was just diabolical

fair result??? they owned us man, we were so lucky!
Exactly. People are saying we deserved a draw and we could've even won but Roma absolutely dominated us. They created chances at will and kept possession easily. Apart from our goals we had the DP volley and the penalty, nothing else.

Good result....
The team played alright.. We were unlucky.. But a good result providing the set backs we suffered..

The turning points of the game were:
1- Totti's first goal which is totally beleive was a clear foul for Criscito.
2- Del Piero wasting a penalty kick --> Juve's moral went down...
3- The only two players who had their morals high were Buffon and Iaquinta, hence Buffon saved alot and Iaquinta scored the equalizer..

Players rating:
Buffon: Saved alot and really deserved a clean sheet. 8.5
Grygera: Solid game 6.5
Andrade: Played a sub-par game. Still his injury which doesn't look good (I think he twisted his knee). 5.5
Criscito: I won't put all the blame of both goals on him. Especially the first goal, which was a foul. Still needs experience and development 5.5
Cheillini: Solid game not has creative as he usually is but thats expected since he has to cover for others mistakes. God bless those arms :) 6.5
Nocerino: Was not bad.. But his crosses were terrible. 6
Zanetti: Was very good. SOLID SOLID and was everywhere till the end 7
Nedved: Was not on form. Looked tired and did not do much except for winning a penalty: 5.5
Del Piero: He did very well in the first half. Running around and created the first goal. He also played a wonderful free kick. He started doing the same in the second half but wasting the PK got his morals down. It was a very important PK he should've secured it. 5.5
Trezeguet: Did not receive alot of chances, scored the only clear chance he got 6.5
Iaquinta: One of our best men on the field.. Really happy for him.. 7.5

Birindelli: No mistakes 6
Legro: No major mistakes... 6
Palladino: Gave some pace to Juve after th morals went down due to the wasted PK. 6

I have to point out one thing.. I hate the publisity that is around us.. Lets take Jazeera sport for an example.. I'll point out few incidences and their commentary on them even at the studio.

1- Tottis first goal which was clear foul, AL JAZEERA: Fantastic ball control from Totti...
2- Juve's penalty where Nedved was tackled from the back, where not even roma complained about it. ALJAZEERA: strange and weird call from the ref.
3- Juve's second goal where Roma played the throw in from a wrong place. The ref calls and directs chiellini to throw it in the right position. ALJAZEERA: Chiellini moved to far ahead and started comparing it from the position where roma played its throwin.. FOR GOD SAKES THE REF WAS POINT TO CHIELLINI WHERE TO PLAY THE THROW IN..

And the list is LONG...

Anyway FORZA JUVE PER SEMPRE..
