Never seen a game where you lose before you play. All we have to do is go there and play our game. We are the underdogs here, but with a few class players anyway. Juve gives always his best when in emergency. We'll come out fighting, no doubt about it.

what annoys me is how ranieri refused to realise the fresh talent he had at the club during the summer....after looking at the sluggish (and thats being generous) display against udinese, u wonder how much we could have done with the youthful spark of players such as giovinco or de ceglie...its depressing to think that at the start of the match, camoranesi was the only player who actually had the pace to run past a player....too bad he's now out for six weeks....we're gonna get trounced at roma cos they have players that can actually run...

It's difficult to say that young debutants would have made any difference in the Udinese match. We have no proof about that, so it's easy to argue that. Giovinco and De Ceglie are obviously very talented young players, but we can't say if they would make the difference.

fair enough, but it was just a horrible feeling watching zanetti just drift further and further off the pace and tiago doing no better....u just wonder if having at least one young CM like marchisio or even paro could have given juve a few more ideas than just giving it to nocerino to run out of play

its amazing how much we could also do with marchionni...he was the one highlight of preseason. or maybe ranieri should try and move nedved to the right and play palladino as a left winger? just a suggestion

Definitely not Paro, easily one of the most anodyne players ever to wear a Juve shirt. Marchisio would probably give more dynamism, but not much creativity. Giovinco is a creative player, but it's hard to see how he could invent much against serie A defenders desperate to hold a 1-0 away lead...We need bad that Tiago hits the form. It will take time to build a good midfield, and it's not easy.

im sure all the juve fans hope tiago can step up but i think we need to see much more from almiron as well....i wudnt mind seeing those two having shots on goal when theyre in the good positions cos from what ive seen, they seem to have a decent strike on them...i think we might have a chance of nicking a goal if we bombard them with the kinda shots that nedved produces on goal almost all games....the roma keeper looks slightly dodgy to me, im sure trez can poach in one of the rebounds...sadly, i dont see us scoring any other way in open play

Heres what I was thinkin

------------------------Gigi---------------------------
--Sali-----------Andrade----Criscito---Chiellini----
--------------------Zanetti--------------------------
---Iaquinta--------Tiago--------------Nedved--------
----------------DP---------Trez------------------------

This is Roma's line up 4 the last game and it seems like some kinda 4-5-1 variation
Doni (Curci 46); Cassetti, Mexes, Juan (Cicinho 71), Tonetto; De Rossi, Aquilani; Taddei (Pizarro 80), Perrotta, Giuly; Totti

Anyone remember Totti's famous gesture when we lost 4 - 0? Of course everyone does....I have a feeling we'll see something similar.

Far too attacking. Take out either DP or Iaquinta and put in another midfielder, preferably Nocerino but if he is injured then play Almiron. We must try to pack the midfield to close down the space otherwise Roma could take us apart.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we take a heavy beating. We need to hope Roma have a tough game in the CL and we play far closer to our best than we have so far.

This is the first big test of this Juve side. We will find out how some of the players deal with the big occasion and if they are really good enough to play for Juventus.

Roma's CL game is actually good and I am sure there is a way to take advantage of that. I wonder how would Ranieri approach the game. It is very critical to choose a game plan and I think we should attack them from the very first minute. That's Juve's strong point, they have no games in Europe. And that's what raised our odds actually.
