This is the most offensive formation we could field.

Woj
Cuadrado-Bonucci-Chiellini-AS
Can-Pjanic
Costa-Dybala-Ronaldo
Mandzukic

I hope Allegri tries this soon.

Juve drop Dybala again? | Football Italia

Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa could be benched when Juventus visit Parma this evening, with Mario Mandzukic partnering Cristiano Ronaldo.

It kicks off at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT), click here for a match preview.

Max Allegri showed already in the 2-0 win over Lazio that he is not afraid to shake things up with his star-studded squad and that means leaving La Joya on the bench.

According to the latest reports, Dybala could again be on the touchline with Douglas Costa, starting Federico Bernardeschi in a trident attack with Mandzukic, putting Ronaldo wide on the left.

Joao Cancelo should get the nod at right-back rather than Juan Cuadrado, with Sami Khedira preferred to Emre Can in midfield.

Parma have many injury absentees, missing the likes of Alberto Grassi, Amato Ciciretti, Jonathan Biabiany and suspended Emanuele Calaiò.

Former Roma winger Gervinho is fit to start after his substitute appearance last week, combining with Roberto Inglese and Antonio Di Gaudio.

    Probable line-ups

Parma: Sepe; Iacoponi, Bruno Alves, Gagliolo, Gobbi; Rigoni, Stulac, Barillà; Gervinho, Inglese, Di Gaudio

Juventus: Szczesny; Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Pjanic, Matuidi; Bernardeschi, Mandzukic, Cristiano Ronaldo

And if we win will you still facepalm? What’s more important?
We should win no matter who starts.

But it has to be kinda annoying to see Costa and Dybala on the bench. Latter is for tactical reason til when Allegri figures out how to fit him in 433 with Ronaldo, since he clearly doesn't see Dybala as main CF or winger, but why is Costa on the bench again?

Costa is on the bench because Bernie is being rewarded for his play I assume.

Most likely, but Bernie didn't take his chance as starter last match, weak game.

True but it almost feels like max is willing to offer more than 1 game as a reward. Who knows

Pressure is on Dybala to take his chances.

Could be tactical too. Maybe he is thinking a bit more muscle and height is needed against Parma.

He did say that Bernie can unlock back lines like Dybala does or something like that

Dybala is better then Bernadeschi and Mandzukic, that is clear, his competion isn't them but the tactic and specifically the third CM. Does he add more value as central AM then that extra CM does? Vs leser teams yes he does, so imo should start.

The tricky part will be Allegri learning to use him as false 9 so he can play in trio attack in the 433.

I dont think Allegri will ever play Dybala as false 9.

If he really is better, than what time better to finally prove it?
