bruh wat is that excuse even? bayern leverkusen won the title undefeated and reach europa final with average age squad of 25 years old with a young coach vs a giant of bayern munich

monaco won the french league in 2017 and reached champions league semin finals with average age squad of 25.

let's not make more excuses than there needs to be.

Another game against Serie A's bottom club, and again a very embarrassing performance.

Our attack is so sluggish - it's like these guys are learning how to ride a bike for the first time. The lack of urgency to kill a game is incredibly frustrating to watch.

The average age of the usual starting XI for Leverkusen last year was 26.5, which is a perfect average. They did have very talented youngsters in the starting line-up, like Wirtz, Boniface, or Frimpong, but they also had experienced veterans like Xhaka (31), Andrich (29), or Alex Grimaldo (28).

As for Monaco in 2016/17, the XI who started the most did indeed have an average age of 25, which is still more than what we have, but they also had quality 30+ veterans like Falcao and Moutinho, as well as a generational young talent like Mbappe.

Anyway, my comment's purpose wasn't to come up with an excuse for our bad results. It was a critique.

A. Tacchinardi:"Juventus were supposed to win against Monza but the game they played is not there yet. I didn't like the intensity and quality they played. Juve will have to raise their level if they want to qualify for the champions league. It's not what we expected at the start of the season. Both the coach and players have to show that they belong to the level of the club."

Progress!

This game really had it all:
- Amateur defending from both sides.
- Another one of those games from Vlahovic.
- McKennie being everywhere, literally. (This is not a compliment in case anyone is wondering.)
- A clueless Motta.
- Me being puzzled by what I'm seeing.

The more the season progresses, the more we seem to be struggling. Things sure aren't looking great right now.
It reminds me a lot of Pirlos season. The more we went deeper into the season the more clueless we looked.
