Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw the Sulley Muntari phantom goal in Milan-Juventus as “a tragedy for football,” as the controversy rages on.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw was an ill-tempered affair dominated by the Muntari goal that was not awarded in the first half despite it crossing the line.

“The fact Muntari’s goal was not seen by the linesman is a tragedy for football,” commented Ibrahimovic while on international duty with Sweden.

“I was more disappointed than angry after the game. Everyone could see it was a goal, so not to give it in that situation...

“You can make a mistake with an offside, but not for a goal like that.”

Juventus also had a goal disallowed for Alessandro Matri’s incorrect offside call.

Ibra was not taking part in that game because he was completing his three-match ban for slapping Salvatore Aronica.

“Opponents do anything to stop me. You do learn from your mistakes and try not to repeat them, but I couldn’t say for sure if I’d never do it again. There is always so much tension on the field.”

btw the thing i posted about muntaris goal is pretty much confirmed i saw a thread at vechia signora and pretty much confirmed that it is in the rules
pratically robingo emanuelson have done that twice
and in the rules if a player leaves the field with his own will without the permission of the ref , he could be yellow carded
They found the rule. Some people were talking about Robinho and the ball in the pic that's not on the line but it was already kicked...the point is Emanuelson, he went off the pitch. Can't come back in without the authorization of the ref. Corner should have been retaken and Urby carded.
I agree with Gerd & Mark! This might help! It's the most up to date that I could find.

How about with Vidal off the pitch? Does that mean anything towards Muntari's goal?
Vidal went for the ball and attempted to head it clear, but only went as far as mexes. It looked to me that someone (pato?) pushed him as he headed it, causing him to step backwards until he regained his balance (and out with the playing area). IMO, that was a foul in the 6 metre/yard box.

You're wrong. Do you play football yourself? I've seen many people getting carded, because they left the field for a drink of water and reentered the field without permission. It's the when you sub a player. You may not enter the field, before the other player is out.

Yeap, i do play football semi-professionally , and i'm not allowed to get out of the pitch to ,say, drink water or get medical help, but if i run for the ball and get out of the line i'll get in without asking.
What you said is right, i just failed to mention it.

What does the rule say about this? Isn't he supposed to ask the ref to step outside the pitch and ask for permission to get back in?

Edit: NEver mind, I see you've already discussed this :D
