In that way you only make one serious change in the team. I see these guys writing formations with 3-4 changes and you won't see that under Ranieri.
If you only want to make one change to the team, you would put De Ceglie RB.

But he can't even pass with his right foot.
Has little significance. As long as you're decent and intelligent enough you can get away with just using one foot. Especially when it's just one game.

Just look at Balzaretti who filled in at RB for us quite nicely against some high quality opposition, mostly using his left foot.

And Marchionni can't play RB.
I really doubt that, anyone that is right footed can play RB and be at least decent in that position. Ussually the biggest idiots in the team are playing there. Just look at Gary Neville! Playing for 20 years and he still can't cross.

Anyone?

I hear Ranieri's giving Giovinco offside trap lessons.

You are really underestimating the defensive importance of full backs.

Yes.

Screw Zarate.

I remember worst case scenarios, like Montero vs. Overmars
Are you really comparing Marchionni to Montero?

Sacrilege.

I wasn't comparing them, I was comparing a possible match up with the match up that left Montero completly humiliated.

And this is supposed to be funny.

Here, let me at least try and laugh with this smilie

He's got a point though. We play the offside trap way too often and with the big gap between Lazio's midfield and Lazio's three attackers, Lazio will probably play many long balls and we'll surely use the offside trap often on Sunday. I don't think it's smart to use someone who never played the offside trap in his life.

But it's not like Poulsen has that experience either and I see him in almost every formation here. That is even more dangerous because it's the CB position.
