I was waiting for a team to finally put us in trouble this year. No team managed to do it. I wanted to see how we'll handle it. I wanted to see if we'll concede soon after being put in trouble or we'll handle the situation. The better thing happened and it gave us the needed confidence, especially to Buffon.
A goalkeeper doing wonders marked the season of every scudetto winning team lately. Even when in trouble, Abbiatti and JC were saving the team with some superb saves.
Is this our season?

Let's not whine. I would give all the players 10/10 as long as we win. Though Giach was really bad, it's like he lost every ball. Once he was in the 16 meters area, and I knew he would cause no danger, Lazio defenders just took the ball away from him. If only he saw Marchisio there. Marchi would have nailed and made it 2-0 without any problem. One point clear with a game in hand it's just awesome. We are scudetto material. Forza JUVE :D!

At our worst performance, we win the vital 3 points away to the team who shares the top spot with us. Great.

Back to the good old days :touched:

1. I though Matri and Buffon were both really good today, loved their contribution to the game and forcing the victory. Either of those get man of the match.
2. The last time Juventus won four matches in a row was in Ferrara's time, 3-0 victory against Siena to the 2-0 victory against Lazio. Two years ago. It's the perfect time to get a rhythm going with Napoli coming up on Wednesday.
3. Once again we should have scored maybe another two goals, Lichtsteiner had a horrible miss and there were chances for Matri, Marchisio and Giaccherini wasted, which is nothing new.
4. I liked how comfortable Juventus looked towards the end of that game, forced Lazio to work really hard and in the end they couldn't sustain pressure for the entire game. I didn't like some of the passing that was going on in the second half though, the team hasn't been conceding possession that easily in a while.
5. Bonucci remains a liability that could easily have cost us a goal, and Chiellini still lacks the technique to properly play left back (remember that shot?). I repeat that we need a left back. Giaccherini's decision making baffled me tonight, his teammates were visibly frustrated. Not good from him either.
6. It fucking sucks that Marchisio won't play at San Paolo.
Agree on bonucci...
we need a real left back and send chiello to the mid. He lacks what is needed to create and control the ball in short spaces and quick plays.
Bonucci, s nto good enough for us as a central defender.

We find replacements for giachh, bonucci, krasic and we find a good skilled player to start instead of pepe and this team will rock

That was a great victory, a very tense match that started highly tactical and ended up in the exact same way. Both teams put in a good display but Juve's high pressing and smart ball movemement came out superior.

Juve's second half was only tactical trying to neutralize Lazio all the way in their own half forcing them to do errors but they were very much wasteful in transforming the turnovers.

Buffon 8

Lichtsteiner 7.5
Bonucci 6
Barzagli 6.5
Chiellini 7

Pirlo 6.5
Marchisio 6.5
Vidal 7

Pepe 6.5
Matri 6.5
Vucinic 6

Giaccherrini 6
Estegarribia N.R
Quagliarella N.R

.
Its exactly what I was thinking. What I fear the most about our team is what will happen when we suffer a defeat. Weve had a spark of great run under ferrare the enthusiam thrown in and bang it took a defeat and we didnt know how to cope. I believe it will be different this time though, conte is more assertive but next game is really everything IMO.

Am I the only one who's worried that we've been using the same lineup for the last 4-5 games?
We now have a mid-week fixture, hope it won't put a dent in our efforts.

if we won't lose at napoli i can dream about finishing in a top 3 position.

Great game from gigi, and the entire team...pleasant surprise was estigaribbia, giach was uninspired today too much tention for him.
IF we don't lose to Napoli. Even though I expect a 1-2 win. I will bet my house that Scudetto is ours.

Yeh,

im just hoping that pirlo will not get strained or something because of the effort... but well what i can say...we are pirlo dependant.

If he cannot be replaced....find solutions to bonucci, pepe, krasic, giachh et all.

Important win,
Buffon man of the match no doubt.
I wish Quag played more.
It's great to see our defense not cracking under constant pressure, like we used to in the last few seasons.
This will be our year :xfinger:
