Just go for the win and pile on the pressure, please. The worst thing we could do is sit back in this match and worry so much about protecting our defense... even when we do protect it the opposition somehow manages to find ways to test it. So I don't really see a point worrying about protecting the defense as the defense cannot even protect itself. That's why just go out there and attack the hell out of them for 90 minutes.

Buffon

Birindelli - Grygera - Legro (the Bum) - Salihamidzic

Tiago - Zanetti

Iaquinta - Trezeguet - Del Piero - Nedved

And yes, you read that correctly.
Bu that's a good formation, I would play it if I were manager, maybe I'll play Almiron instead of Tiago because he has better defending abilities.

play Iaquinta as cb.

He hustles the ball from the opposition defenders anyway...let him do it to their attackers. Plus his pace and physical strength aren't useless, unlike Boumsong....

I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but imo Iaquinta could not be anywaorse that Boumsong or Grygera there.

Why is it that Trezeguet is never even considered to be left out the starting eleven by the members here?
Because if a ball is played into him he is more than likely going to score, best finisher on our team.

Actually , that's a good idea

My line up:

Buffon
Brazzo-Birindelli-Legro-Grygera
Almiron-Zanetti
Nedved
Iaquinta-Trezeguet-Del Piero

My tactic: why not?

The exBologna guy&Cassano against Boumy&Igor sounds awful to us, but there is one good thing -easy money if u want to bet on over2.5 :D

That was my point, yeah. I have zero faith in Boumsong and Grygera right now.

The only balanced formation with 433 i think we can see is:

gigi
zebina(hopefully)--Legro--Grygera--Biri

-----brazzo----zanetti----neddy----------

-----Iaquinta---Trezi-----Alex------------
The best formation so far for this game.

I've had enough of Tiago's lacklustre displays. I'm a big fan of his, but he needs to benched again. Ranieri didn't treat him the way he should have treated him in the beginning, but FFS Tiago could have shown some balls as well. Is he a pro or not?
Did you even watch the game? Weren't you busy posting in the "US Presidential Elections thread - the fate of the world to be" thread during the game?
