Buffon
Birindelli - Grygera - Boumsong - Molinaro
Salihamidzic - Zanetti - Nedved
Iaquinta - Trezeguet - Del Piero

or

Buffon
Birindelli - Grygera - Boumsong - Molinaro
Marchionni - Almiron - Zanetti - Nedved
Iaquinta - Del Piero

I'm praying Legro recovers in time.

If we play 4-4-2 DP and Vince should start upfront as they're the in form strikers atm. Tiago has started the last two games and sucked so give Almiron a chance.

i say the trident with marco on the right. our defence is worryin especially with cassano. to be honest i will settle with a draw the way our defence looks

Bad idea. Our defence is already shaky, we can't afford to play Marchionni, Nedved, Iaquinta, Trezeguet and Del Piero. We'd get ripped to shreds, that's why I have Sali in there for the 4-3-3. We need players who will work hard in midfield for the 4-3-3 to work and with Nocerino out Sali is the best option. If we play 4-4-2 then Marchionni should definitely start.

Why is it that Trezeguet is never even considered to be left out the starting eleven by the members here?
Because Trezi is always going to position himself in either a scoring position or drag a defender or two with him. And we all know he can score, and also since last season we've seen his work rate increase. The trident makes sense, but i think we will see 442 with marchionni on the right.

is zebina definitely out ?

$hit, with the worst possible defense fielded, we now need 2 DMs more than any other time, but i think Tiago is bound to face big bad Cassano,
despite CR is dissapointed on him...
(almiron anyone?? )

Just go for the win and pile on the pressure, please. The worst thing we could do is sit back in this match and worry so much about protecting our defense... even when we do protect it the opposition somehow manages to find ways to test it. So I don't really see a point worrying about protecting the defense as the defense cannot even protect itself. That's why just go out there and attack the hell out of them for 90 minutes.

Buffon

Birindelli - Grygera - Legro (the Bum) - Salihamidzic

Tiago - Zanetti

Iaquinta - Trezeguet - Del Piero - Nedved

And yes, you read that correctly.

I've had enough of Tiago's lacklustre displays. I'm a big fan of his, but he needs to benched again. Ranieri didn't treat him the way he should have treated him in the beginning, but FFS Tiago could have shown some balls as well. Is he a pro or not?
