Well i think that its going to be a tough match .I want emo and neddy should be rested at least one half. The defense is doin well but rotating one player, wouldnt harm i think(only if its legro).

I want to see appiah with blasi in midfield, with olivera and kapo.
Alex should play a full game, cuz he wont start on tuesday.

Mybe zalayeta will have a chance to play.

Palermo have many good players especially toni and corini.Their coach is wonderfull too.

HOWEVER
2-0 juve

I respect Palermo......they are a good team, and we should find it tough against them.....however, we should win by a goal..... Zlatan and DP to score....;)

i want juve keep winning and clean sheet as long as they can.

yeah...i agree that emo and neddy, as well as canna should take a rest on saturday. with our team spirit up high, we don't afraid to lose point and our bench players are capable to get a win for us.

Even though Palermo were one of the promoted sides from last season but I believe they have what it takes to really make their mark in Serie A.

Up until this season the Sicilians have played 3 matches, winning once (1-0 against Siena) and drawing twice (1-1 against Inter, 0-0 against Fiorentina), collecting five points. They have scored 2 goals and conceded only one.

Their experienced coach, Francesco Guidolin, plays with a 4-2-3-1 formation"

--------------------Guardalben------------------
Zaccardo------Biava--Barzagli------Grosso
-------------------Barone--Corini------------------
Santana------------------------------Gasbarroni
------------------------Zauli---------------------------
-------------------------Toni---------------------------

Their defence consists of Zaccardo, Barzagli, Biava, and Grosso.

Barone and Corini make up the midfield and are the heart of the team. Corini is their key player, he's the former captain of Chievo, and stopping him means taking away most of Palermo's game from them. If he gets space, he's going to make us suffer, setting up moves, providing balls to Toni and Zauli. Expect an exciting battle in midfield between Corini-Barone and Emerson-Blasi.

Santana and Gasbarroni are pure wings, so expect them to clash with Zambrotta and Zebina from time to time.

Zauli plays just off the main striker, Toni, who netted 30 times in Serie B last season and also scored a goal in his debut with the Italian NT. The lanky striker is in fine form as he opened up his account this season with a goal in the opener against Siena and followed that up with another one in the shock draw against Inter. We will need Thuram and Cannavaro to be on top form to eliminate his threat.

The team should continue with its serious outlook against smaller opponents because 3 points against Palermo have the same weight as 3 points against Milan. And with other challengers facing rather difficult opponents in this round, it only makes sense that we make the most of it by collecting more points and widening the gap. We should concentrate on this match and forget about the Champions League encounter against Tel Aviv.

Capello should keep everyone guessing to as who will he field upfront between Del Piero, Ibrahimovic, and Trezegol. Whoever makes it should make us proud and continue scoring them goals.

Forza Juve :strong:

I am almost confidet of the 3 points but I am a bit suspicious of the clean sheet, Toni can score anytime and this is something I do not want

Let us hope for a 3 - 0 not a 3 - 1

I prefer 1-0 than 3-1.

What a great news it is.
I hope this means we can keep our cleansheet once more.

I wanna be confident but I have the tendency to expect the worst so that if it happens the pain would be bearable.

I hope Del Piero scores a goal. Though he scored last week, I would've preferred if he scored a goal that is not a penalty. Best of luck to him.

And it wouldn't hurt to see one of those ajax-style goals from nedved either. that was

Gasbarroni is going to be fun to watch, that's for sure.

If Santana and Gasbarroni play well, Palermo is going to cause some problems, especially with Luca Toni playing out of his mind lately.

2-1 to Juve, but it will be a good match.

edit-Forget that last part about Toni, I didn't know he was injured.

2-0 to Juve, but Santana and Gasbarroni will play well.

Here's the good news:

No Juventus for Toni Friday 24 September, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Palermo’s hopes of grabbing a result at Juventus on Saturday have been hit by an injury to Luca Toni.

The Italian international, who has netted both of his side’s top-flight goals so far, has been ruled out of the trip to Turin.

The former Brescia striker, who is struggling with a right thigh strain, will probably be replaced by Ernesto Antonio Farias.

Palermo already faced an uphill task seeing as Juventus have yet to concede a goal in the new campaign.

One of the main reasons for that is the arrival of Azzurri captain Fabio Cannavaro, a summer signing from Inter.

"It is as if I’ve gone back in time seeing as I’ve joined my former Parma colleagues in the form of Lilian Thuram and Gigi Buffon," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I’ve always had an excellent relationship with both of them and that is evident on the field of play.

"For example, I know how Thuram approaches an opponent which allows me to take the necessary measures. He knows me well too.

"The fact that we are a well developed partnership is an obvious advantage. And if we both make a mistake then there is always a magician behind us…

"Buffon is undoubtedly the best goalkeeper in the world. We have to give him something to do now and again otherwise he wouldn’t get noticed!"
