If Milan don't qualify for Champions League, how complicated is there mercato going to be? Will the likes of Sheva and Ronaldinho still join them?

    Alen?...
I think CL's importance is over-rated in this case.
Look at Buffon, Del Piero or Nedved. All three of them were world class and famous stars. They accepted the bloody serie B and they accepted to be minimum 2 years out of CL. Especially for Neddy and Del Piero this was a big sacrifice because when they made a decission to stay at Juve they were aware that they won't ever win the CL (for Nedved it means that he'll never win CL in his life).

One year without CL is of absolutely no meaning for someone's career. Especially for someone who already won the CL and who is still relatively young, like Ronaldinho.
Only the offer counts here. Not only the money offer he'll get but all the other conditions he'll be offered. The little things.

For Sheva it will make no difference at all. Milan will be getting him on loan from Chelsea and Shevchenko wants Italy, Milano and some playing time. He doesn't care much about CL.

Now, another question is how will this affect Milan financially.
From what i know, Milan have their own budget where Berlusconi isn't involved and they operated on the market in last years without Berlusconi's help. I read about this last summer when it was said that Milan the club will do all the other transfers while Berlusconi will give his own money to buy Ronaldinho.
Without CL participance Milan maybe won't be able to make good transfers but this is where Berlusconi will give them a hand and invest his own money for the transfer campaign.
Actually, i think Milan will have even more money for transfers now than they did in last 3 or 4 years when the team worked with it's own budget.

Ive just spent the last 1 and 1/2 hours enjoying myself goin thru an entire milan thread of this game. Ohhhh they were so wrong about how it would end. Was good to c them gang up on a dude who claimed Bonera didnt deserve a red and we had bought the ref to do that though

This is the first time this season that Milan conceded more than 2 goals.
After 32 matches in serie A, 8 matches in CL and 2 matches in Coppa Italia, finally one team scored 3 goals against them.
And who else but Juve :smoke:

i honestly do miss the motivational skills of capello. I get angry by a coach who says that we're "motivated against the big teams".

I believe that you win the scudetto by beating the "small" teams. But first things first, we need more quality.

Long live the bread? Or is it Punani?
Not sure if you know or not, so 'll explain anyway, Panini is the name of the company that produces the sticker albums. These do of Italian football, of the World Cup and of the Euro. They said thank you cause they included Del Piero in the Italy team of Euro2008.

Sheva will still join imo, as he wants to play, and probably wants to be somewhere were people love him, even though i'm not sure this is the case anymore in Milano. Also from the pressure point of view it might be better for Sheva to come back to Italy as the media in Italy are more interested in how you play, rather than what colour you're going to get you're BMW

The goal.com player ratings comments make wonder if the dude watched the game at all

He says it was Molinaro who Kaka beat to cross into the box 4 the first goal by Inzaghi. I'm possitive it was Chiellini
Yep it was Chiellini who didn't manage to block the cross from Kaka. Molinaro lost Pippo on the back post area

Only clubs of a certain prestige adn class can do such a thing :juvefan2:

Thats true, if we won more of the games against the smaller clubs we'd be within touching distance of the scudetto

Congrats guys on a very important win this season..

Ok, i'll just get to my main point. If we want to compete next season in both CL or Serie A we need to buy 4 defenders THEN think about reinforcing other areas.
Few questions to Mr. Ranieri, Stendardo today played against Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo and Pipo inzaghi and he did well. At least during the period he played we did not conceed any goals. So why? Why Mr. Ranieri is this player sitting on the bench and incompetant players like Molinaro are on the field every single match?
    Why can't we player either
    Grygera -- Legro -- Stendardo -- CHiellini
    OR
    Legro -- Stendardo -- Chiellini in a 3 men defence (3-4-3 or 3-5-2)
Why did we borrow him to simply warm the bench seat?

Tiago had an average match, in fact, Tiago's MAIN problem is positioning himself on the field (in addition to lack of strength). He simply enjoys watching other player play rather than openning up spaces for the likes of Alex and Maoro to help them by preparing himself to receive the ball. Sissoko is not supposed to be an offensive midfielder, but when a defensive midfielder does the offence part better than the so called central or offensive midfielder you know that the later is not performing well.

Unfortunately for us, and fortunately for Milan, that Trezeguet was not in the right mood for the game. He did not open up spaces for Alex and Camoranesi as he usually does. In many plays he ran with the team but without the aim of openning up space which led Alex/Maoro to hold the ball longer and possibly lose the ball.

Now back to our Top 4 of the day:
Maoro Camoranesi: He is by far our most creative midfield player this season. We really missed him during his injury time. Never the less, as soon as he returned back he was immediately effective. Playing his heart out every single game. Gave 3 assists in a single big game, a number the likes of Zidane might not have provided. For this simple fact I would give him MOM.

Mohammed Sissoko: He is consistant in every possible way. He is very concentrated on his game. And along side Zanetti he is by far our best central midfielder this season. His controbution to our midfield let the likes of Vieira and Emerson wrap around their legs in embaresment. This is a player who we should keep for a really long time. Worth every penny we paid for him.

Hasan Salehamdzic: One of his greatest games of the season. He ran alot. Tried hard be everywhere. Scored two goals.. Good game :)

Alessandro Del Piero: No words can decribe our gratitude towards this Legend. There is a good number of great players in the world, and there are many champions, though few legends, but there will always be ONE ALEX DEL PIERO. He is a player who has been here for 15 years now. 15 years full of success. 15 years of giving his all to this club and to the game of football. It is a disgrace to the whole football community and to the award itself that Del Piero has never been awarded the footballer of the year award. He is the only player I can think of who has played and won big for 15 years while posesing one of the greatest talents in the world. He is the only player I can think of who literally has carried a club to be consistantly one of the best clubs in the world and in many season he has done it single handedly. I am full of doubt that if Del Piero was not to join Juve in 1993 that Juventus would not have acheived 1/2 of the glory they have acheived with him. He is not to be compared with likes of Kaka, C. Ronaldo ..etc. he should be only compared with phenonena's like Maradona, Pele, Platini and Zidane. And to me, as an over all player he might be even better than them. He is a true leader, and might be last breath of decent football before it goes into being a huge commercial business.

CONGRATS ALL .. A good win .. We might've been lucky at times .. but we surely deserved the whole three points .. I still can't believe DPs misses, I voted him MOM .. cause I missed the first half except Salih's goal .. so I'll just go for his second half performance.. which was a captain's elegant performance ..

Rab, did you see after the game when Maldini hugged Del Piero .. Thought of you right away .. it's something you'd love to see ;)
:touched: I saw that. Was lovely. Also before the match started, everyone was saluting Alex and hugging him.

it was a very entertaining game and its always great to beat the milanisti.

    Just a few points

Chiellini's performances haven't been the best recently and Legro hasn't impressed since february. Back to Giorgio, just swag said i hope its just the flu or something simply because we will be relying on him next season to be the leader of that defense. Defenders cannot have off days.

    camo and dp were brilliant.

it was good to see sissoko get some authority in that 2nd half against great midfielders. Also the thing i really like about his performance is that once he got the yellow card he didn't get stuck into an unnecessary fouls or do anything silly.Something i saw him doing in that past.

Tiago, well it was a big call to play him and once he got the fear out of his game he played better. He wasn't going to WOW anyone and he will really do that because its simply not his game.Could've pushed forward more but i think he was overwhelmed by the game.
