Guys.. I am feeling really optimistic ahead of tomorrow's game.. I mean REALLY OPTIMISTIC....
I'll fill you in with some thoughts in mind..
** ok we might not have the best squad in the Serie A. Teams like AC Milan and Inter have more depth and have higher class NAMES. You can add to them Roma as well. Please consider that during our past history we never had better players than AC Milan or Inter. But we always had better spirit, and thats why we won. We hopefully have the spirit this season as well..
** Our defence is shaky.. I agree. But four seasons ago we managed 3rd position when Milan won the league season 03-04. At that time we had a terrible defence. Even Lippi couldn't do anything about it.
** If we field our best players at the back, namely Andrade, Criscito, Chiellini and Grygera/Zebina/Salehamidizc we have an above average defence. Might not be good enough to stop Inter or AC Milan but I am positive it can stop the rest of the teams in Serie A.
** There is a total of 114 points to be collected over 38 match days. 12 of which includes games home and away against AC Milan and Inter. Lets say we lost all of those 12 points. That leaves us with 102 points . Its winning against other teams that counts.
** Remember our squad includes:
A- The best goalkeeper in the world.
B- One of the most lethal, if not the most lethal finisher in the world, or atleast in the Serie A.
C- One of best assistant striker, who is also one of the best free kick takers and maybe the best penalty taker in the Serie A. Let alone being one of the most talented if not the most talented player in the Serie A.
D- One of the best right wingers in the Serie A
E- One of the best if not the best left backs in the Serie A, who is also the captain of the U21 national team.
F- One of the best defensive midfielders in Italy.
G- One of the best attacking midfielders in the Serie A.

And many more.

** C. Ranieri is a manager who some of us might not like or agree about his decisions alot. He might not have won anything in the past, but hey, take a look at Sir Lippi's history if you exclude the world cup all of his trophies have Juventus written all of them


I am happy .. We have recovered from a major unjust hit last summer. We are ready to take back what belongs to us.. SCUDETTO..
Might not happen this season, who knows, but I am positive it'll happen soon.. Sooner than most of our critics think.

Anyway, here is the match from Livorno's viewpoint:

Livorno have more pressing injury worries as they will be without key players, Giuliano Giannichedda and Vikash Dhorasoo.

Giannichedda will be unable to face his former employers after straining his right knee, while fellow newcomer Dhorasoo has failed to recover from a groin injury.

However coach Fernando Orsi is still looking forward to opening the Serie A campaign against such esteemed opposition.

He told the club's official website: "Juventus boast a strong squad but we hope to be able to fight them until the last.

"It is an attractive welcome to be able to play an opponent of such a high calibre.

"We are not in the best of shape but we have prepared ourselves well."

I think it's going to be a tough game for us . Livorno are a solid team and their players gel together way better than ours do . Even though we have better quality players , they play better as a team . I expects livorno to play very defensively while we hold posession yet struggle to break through their defensive and we'kk rely on Almiron's creativity more than anything else .

if camo is not fit enough to start play brazzo right midfield and bring in zebina right back.

i think tiago needs games in order to improve his match fitness and i think he can become a good player for us.

but is he is not ready to start its a tough call for the thinkerman as zanetti has a wealth of experience and he is also a good player very under rated during his career although his best days are behind him he still has 2 more seasons in him.

nocerino has looked a star in the making in some games and average and inexperienced in others he needs to be more consistant but certainly looks like he can develop.

so if tiago is unable to start id like nocerino to start to see how he fairs in a competitive serie a game.

and if camo and tiago are set for the bench i hope ranieri gives them and palladino at least 20 mins of action

Camo can't play for more than 20 minutes and Criscito is injured.

So, as I said earlier, I'd like us to start with a 4-3-1-2
