Jeeks, please don't get me wrong or something I just think that with 3 man defence we'll be much more exposed from the lateral positions of the field, which will enable more center shots from the flanks.
I don't know if I mentioned it here or it was in a private MSN conversation. You are absolutely right that the 3-man defence will give more freedom to Figo and Stankovic, but what would these do if Thuram and Kovac (both tall) can deal with crosses, Cannavaro can deal by isolating Adriano and Martins is a shorty shoop who does not benefit from crosses.

Then if Cambiasso and Veron/Pizzarro are to feed the forwards, it is better to have three central defenders to deal with two rapid players like Adriano and Oba.

I didn't want defenders on the sides, I want to give Figo and Stankovic freedom, because we need as well opposing wingers (Camoranesi and Mutu).

The big problem in my suggestion lies in either choosing Blasi or Giannichedda behind Vieira and Emerson thus allowing Inter to take the ball and us to rely on counter attacks or using a trident up front which is a bit risky with a team like Inter as they are as well good in counter attacks.

But Zambrotta and Pessotto(or any other RB) could provide much more runs over the lateral positions as well.

You're right abouth the counter attacks, and I'm afraid of that situations because of Adriano(very dangerous when he grabs the ball and begins his run) and Martins is even more dangerous in the situations like that.I think that Capello won't come up with 3 man defence, but it's up to him to decide.

In our 3 last games agains inter,Zambrotta showed as a good solution against Martins(thanx to his acceleration) because he saved us from 3 certain goals, which Martins could score.

Also, one thing fears me - Adriano's long shots ,he is able to do that from every God damn position. That fear is rising up ,knowing that Abbiati is the keeper(no metter ha had a great saves against Rapid).

No matter how one puts it, it is definitely a nail-biting match and defitnitely an affiche. I can't be but nervous.
