My thoughts:

- Ranieri should never bench Del Piero or Nedved, thier influential presence is so valuable against Inter.

- Molinaro has to play his best game, specially defensively as Figo will cause us endless problems otherwise with his moves and crosses.

- Our deffence should never conecntrate on Zlatan only as he isn't the only attacking threat Inter have... Crespo, Suazo, Adriano and Cruz can break any deffence if they were given space.

- I expect Inter to start with Zlatan and Crespo upfront, hopefully Chiellini can cope with Zlatan phisical strength but I'm also worried about Cruz who will certainly play on 2nd half and he is soooo good coming of the bench.

- If it was me I wouldn't risk starting Tiago this mtach, yes he did well against EMPOLI but this game is arguably out most important game of the season and I don't think he can cope with such pressure in his current situation... I would certainly consider playing him during 2nd half but starting him is a make or break bet and I don't think it's a good call.

- I prefer 433 with Del Piero and Iaquinta playing behind Trezeguet and Palladino to come as a substitute during 2nd half.

- Grygera Legro Chiellini Molinaro
___Nocerino Zanetti Nedved
________Iaquinta Del Piero
___________Trezeguet

solid formation I say.
molinaro has the required speed in him to cover Figo and well covered by chilienni.
3 hardworkin' midfielders cause to conquer this part of the game. And hopefully zanetti providing somme good passes to alé and vinni. Trezzegol at the finish of course ( since ranieri is here he's doing well on coming higher on the field and pressin')

Forza juventus

One thing Ranieri has to get the players' focus on is that the maximum outcome from this game is 3 points. We will either lose three or 1 and vice versa.

Now the key to beating a team like Inter is work harder than them imo and taking your chances. Make them feel like they can't get anything working and with the help of the crowd we can get them out of the game mentally(which is their weakest aspect)

I have to go with most the formations that were put out here

- Grygera Legro Chiellini Molinaro
___Nocerino Zanetti Nedved
________Iaquinta Del Piero
___________Trezeguet

maybe Tiago would get a start but highly unlikely as nocerino would be needed to give us some drive and to hack their attacks down

We need experienced players, battle/derby hardened dudes,
dedicated to Juve. We need to work better as a team because the have better units,
we need to fight with heart and out-muscle them, because they have stronger, faster and more skillful players, we need to give our best out there, every single moment,
we must not make any mistake and take advantage of every mistake, they might do.
We have to use or heart and our brain, we have to remain focused all the time and control our determination.

Inter has better weapons up front, better armor but still their defense is their weak point, we have to take advantage of that, while canceling their effectiveness upfront. Our defense have never been tested against such a powerful foe before.
Our maximum attention and first priority would be to secure our box,
we all know defense is our weak point and atm, our best CB is injured, Inter's attackers are very skillful and very fast, they pretty effective, their long range shoots are danzerous, their dribble inside our box could easily turned into un-existant penalties for, them by their refs, their attackers are very strong, physically and they are also very good at "air game"
Our defenders are slow, weak and clumsy and are no match for them, that would mean that they are gonna need every help we can give them, by Buffon, our wingers and 2 DMs should block Inter's player before their attackers reach our defenders, we cannot use the 3-3-4 system for this game, because their midfield is very powerful, they will be able to control the midfield and dictate the game very easily, esp if they use one extra guy, we wont be able to control many opportunities without a playmaker and our wingers either either,
we need strong, experienced, determined and fast midfielders, that would defend very effectively and have the stamina and the skills to create deadly counterattacks. We shouldnt risk our defense, because we will concede many goals. We must start from a strong defense and slowly but steadily build upfront,
we lack the units to do otherwise, a draw is better than a defeat, we should secure our flanks and our defense and gamble up front, Inter lack patience, if they dont score fast, they will keep coming forward and they will create many spaces for our forwards to take advantage of.

So we cannot use players that are not 100% efficient at their defensive duties,
Criscito is too weak, Tiago is not ready for such a game yet, we should not repeat the same mistake we did with Roma and Criscito. Tiago needs more time to adapt with our team and so does the rest of our team with him. He is not that effective defensively and we are not allowed to suffer there. Neddy and Camo are experienced enough to handle the pressure, they can defend pretty well and attack very effectively. Zanetti is the man that will decide our defensive effectiveness overall, if he stops Inter in the midfield, then we might stand a chance, Almiron would have been the natural choice but if Nocerino is more fit than him, then we have no choice...
Palla cant be a starter here, its either DP or Iaquinta that will pair with Trezequet and try to provide him with an assist (unless we use a trident) i think it will be DP, since he was the one CR rested.
Salih isnt effective enough, but if Neddy gets tired, he should come in and fill the gap. Camo is rested and i expect miracles from him, Neddy will be our heart, Buffon our rock, DP must be the lead by example and play one of his best games of the season. Treze must just do, what he does best.

My main concern is the defense, i do not trust Molinaro, he isnt good enough for such games.
Legro is unfortunately one of our CBs, i m almost certain we will concede one goal just because of that, i hope Grygera will be fit, Chiellini must use his speed to cover our flanks and support our CBs, but without stepping in our box, his clumsiness has cost us a few penalties already (even when his accurate on the ball, its just the way he moves, the refs are always convinced its a foul)
And the big question is who is gonna partner Legro,i would personally prefer, Grygera in the box and Biri as a RB, when Biri gets exhausted, then Salih could cover him. I ve heard that Zebina might be fit too for this game, but i wont favor him in front of Biri or Salih because he wasnt absent for a long time and is also very danzerous and a constant penalty threat, though he is faster than Biri, more effective up front, stronger than Criscito and much more experienced than Molinaro. So, IF he is available, Zebina should be used as a sub only

Oggi e l'anniversario della Juve. Buon compleanno signora! :toast:

We need to celebrate 110 years of glorious history by beating the merda who sent us to a year in the hell of B. We need to win this game to show the footballing world that despite its best efforts, Juventus FC marches proudly on, that no matter what is thrown at us, we will never give in, never stop fighting, & above all, we're not happy just to be back in A, we are here to remove the smug looks & contented attitude of Inter, & to reclaim what is rightfully ours. We need to show that nothing short of the tricolore being back on the bianconeri shirt will ever be enough. They stole it from us, & made the scudetto something of a joke, they stole it from us & tarnished our name. The game on Sunday is the chance to show who we are & what we believe in. On 3 points is good enough.

The talk of formations & the players to fill them makes interesting reading, but to me, I would go with the strengths we have, rather than focus on Inter. The defense pretty much picks itself at moment, due to both form & injuries. I would go with;

------------------Gigi

Grygera---Legro---Chiellini---Molinaro

-----Camo----Nocerino---Zanetti

--Iaquinta-----Trez-------Nedved

Doing this gives us the strength & drive of Camo, Iaquinta & Nedved, while providing solid cover for our defence. I'd expect Iaquinta & Nedved to drop deep whenever Inter have the ball, with Camo free to roam a little when we're in possesion, sort of like switching between 4-5-1, 4-3-3 & 4-2-4, depending on the situation during the game. This formation also allows us to us Ale to make an impact from the bench, not to mention Palla - with maybe even a positive input from Tiago.

forza Juve.

i know this is going to be an important match for juve fans and inter fans also. Inter fans want their team to win, to prove that we are cheats and without the ref help we are nothing. Juve is the contrast to that , if juve loses i am going to cry a river infront of my pc. I went through so much these past months, with people telling me, where cheats all of the 27 scudettos are all cheats. Plus the derby Italia is always a big, game people say they cannot see juve beating inter, look what inter did to roma at there home, but I always say we own Italy. When we step on the pitch, we going to give Inter a ride of there life sat/sun.

We need to be 110% effective, the combination of Neddy and Camo is the only thing that can give us that extra boost because of their work-rate. And noone else can help our weak defense as they do.
We CANNOT use Molinaro from the left, cause FIGO or whoever else will be Inter's Rwing, will run rampage from there, Chiellini is the only man able to guard our flanks there, because he is fast and strong enough, we need him there, we are playing Inter FFS, not Empoli or any other weak side...
We cannot use a 3 man midfield against one of the strongest midfields in the world.
A 4-4-1-1 or a 4-5-1 is our only chance to avoid utter disaster,
we cannot just hope we will score more goals than they do, like we do with lesser opposition, we need numbers in the midfield, because we lack strength and skills there...
We may risk an all out attacking 4-3-3 scheme only after conceding and have nothing to lose anymore...

I'd like to see all our Serie B players fielded though, they'll be on a mission in this game, even more than others.
I was just about to write the same thing.
We'll need the cool heads of the newbies but the decisive factor in this match will be the motivation and the anger of the old guard.

I'd still put Zebina on the bench though. There'll be too much anger and it will be dangerous to have both Zebina and Chiellini at the same time :)

But Buffon,Chiellini, Legrottaglie, Zanetti, Nedved, Trez, Del Piero, Camoranesi (if he's ready) and maybe even Palladino and Marchionni, are a must for this match. We can't field all 10 of them at the same time because it will be too crazy and attacking formation, but they all must get playing time.

Juventus seeking revenge against Inter after title and players taken away

Juventus has been looking forward to Sunday's game against Inter Milan since the Serie A schedule was announced in July.

Inter is the club that profited most from the Italian match-fixing scandal, replacing Juventus as the league's top team. When Juventus was stripped of the 2005-06 title, it was awarded to Inter.

After signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira from Juventus, Inter won last season's "scudetto" while the Bianconeri were exiled to Serie B.

For the final 15 minutes of Juventus' 3-0 rout of Empoli on Wednesday, fans at Turin's Stadio Olimpico chanted choruses directed toward Inter.

"It's a game we've been waiting for, and obviously we want to do well, for ourselves, for the fans, and for the league," said Trezeguet, who scored a hat trick against Empoli.

Besides the recent history, the game also has implications in this season's standings.

Through 10 rounds, Inter leads with 24 points. Roma is next with 21 points and Juventus is tied with Fiorentina for third with 20.

"I think they're awaiting this game more anxiously than we are," Inter president Massimo Moratti said. "For Inter, it's an important contest and traditionally a tough one, and nothing more."

Nonetheless, Inter coach Roberto Mancini rested Ibrahimovic in a 4-1 win over Genoa on Wednesday to keep him fresh for the match in Turin, where he'll likely pair with Hernan Crespo. Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar should also return after sitting out the Genoa game with a back injury.

Similarly, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri played captain Alessandro Del Piero only for the last half hour against Empoli.

"We're facing the Nerazzurri in the best possible condition," Ranieri said. "We have respect for Inter, but we we're going to try and beat them to make the championship more interesting.

"Do we have something extra compared to them? It's tough to say, maybe a great desire to do well," Ranieri added. "Inter can practically rely on two squads, but I've also got a lot of champions available."

Ranieri could opt for a three-pronged attack like the one he fielded in a 2-2 draw with Roma in September, with Vincenzo Iaquinta and Del Piero flanking Trezeguet.

i have a good feeling about this one, i think we have the qualities to get thru this but we will need absolute concentration to do so. i mean 90 mins conecentration until the refree blows his final whistle. as for inters forwards there is no doubt i worry from ibrahimovic and crespo, but cruz has always been the super sub in most big games. adriano hopefully would be busy thinking of his next music track and cocaine party.

forzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa juve!!!!!!!!!!!

as for my banner will it would be sth like " bring it on inter, your worest nightmare is baaack!!"

please god, don't let figo destroy molinaro. i'd rather ranieri play grygera or birindelli at LB than let figo run riot on that left side.
You have a good point. Thinking about it that way, would a back 4 of

rb: Biri
lb: Chiellini
cb: Grygera
cb: Legro

be more effective? Cant see Criscito being upto this game, remember the way he was owned by Totti?

CR have many players ready and hungry for this match, lets see what can he make of it. Im pretty sure, that it will be very special formation. I have really good feeling about this one - we can, we should and we will trash them. Any information about the refferee?
