So you didnt happen to see how they owned Inter big parts of the game in their 0-0 game? (Inter was lucky to escape with 1 pt)Or how they won Milan 2-0 and Roma 3-1?

We just won them 4-1, while the only other big teams in the league lost or were lucky to draw against them. Take a chill pill and watch the sweet highlights of Grygera's MOM show, Chiellini's majestic defending, Ale's fine one touch double assists :star:
I'm not talking about winning or losing. They shouldn't be allowed to dominate possession on our home ground. If you're telling me they did that to Inter then so be it as I didn't see that one no.

Stadio Olimpico

Juventus are joint top after sweeping past Genoa 4-1, but the score-line was harsh on the visitors who contributed to an open and entertaining game.

Both sides approached the game with confidence and it was a clash between sixth and seven places.

The game was played on a Thursday night due to a rugby international scheduled for Saturday.

Juventus knew that a win would take them level with Inter at the top, while Genoa hadn't conquered Turin since 1991 when Tomas Skuhravy scored the decisive goal.

Amauri and Alessandro Del Piero started up front for Juve, while Diego Milito was the Rossoblu's danger man.

Marco Marchionni got the nod over a half-fit Mauro Camoranesi and Gian Piero Gasperini put his faith in ex-Juve man Andrea Gasbarroni instead of another old Bianconeri face Giuseppe Sculli.

Within six minutes, Juventus were ahead and it was unlikely hero Zdenek Grygera who ran on to Del Piero's ball and coolly finished past a surprised Rubinho with an early strike. It was the Czech star's second Serie A goal and the first came against Genoa at Marassi last term.

Raffaele Palladino was flagged for a nonexistent offside and Matteo Ferrari headed just over from a corner.

Milito created and missed a great chance to level after 19 minutes. The Argentine ace cut into the box, skipped inside Nicola Legrottaglie and Giorgio Chiellini to find space but fired past the near post as Alex Manninger dived the wrong way.

Genoa looked lively and were causing the Juve defence problems on the wings, but their crosses were ineffective.

And they were fully punished as Amauri made it 2-0 with an excellent close-range header from a Grygera cross. Rubinho has no chance as the Brazilian powerhouse rose high to get plenty of power on the downward contact.

The visitors were angry as Milito was wrongly called offside and he put the ball in the net despite the referee's whistle.

Gasbarroni hit a cheeky near-post shot, which deflected off Marchionni, when Manninger expected a cross and the Austrian international struggled to parry the ball down off the post. In the resulting scramble, Legrottaglie went to ground and needed treatment.

It really should have been 3-0 before the interval as Molinaro was handed a chance to shoot from 12 yards after Del Piero's incisive run across the edge of the box. The defender's angled effort beat the 'keeper but was hacked clear by ex-Juve man Domenico Criscito.

Genoa started the second half menacingly and Palladino couldn't quite get on the end of a measured Milito cross.

The dangerous Argentine then struck from the edge of the box but his effort was over the bar.

Amauri sent over a tantalising cross but nobody got on the end of it and moments later Rubinho had to be alert to catch the ex-Palermo man's soft header.

Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta picked up a yellow card for an innocuous clash with Pavel Nedved.

The ball was headed out of the Genoa box from a free-kick and sat up nicely for Momo Sissoko to strike, but the Mali international put it into Row Z!

Sculli broke down the right and made some space to drive a shot into the side-netting and the travelling Grifone fans increased the volume of their chants.

Camoranesi was introduced in place of Marchionni before a Del Piero free-kick from just under 30m out flashed past Rubinho's far post.

Chiellini did superbly to close down Milito with 12 minutes remaining.

Rubinho made an excellent diving save to tip away Del Piero's shot from the edge of the box as it looked set to bulge the corner of the net.

Marco Rossi earned a yellow card for breaking up a promising Juve counterattack by manhandling Del Piero.

Vincenzo Iaquinta replaced Amauri with five minutes left and he scored nearly immediately as Del Piero hooked the ball over the Genoa defence and the ex-Udinese man strode on to beat Rubinho.

Del Piero received a standing ovation as he made way for Sebastian Giovinco in the closing stages.

But Genoa hadn't given up and they were awarded a penalty when Legrottaglie handled the ball in the box - it was an involuntary reaction but Rocchi pointed to the spot.

Milito took responsibility and scored his 10th goal of the campaign with a cool penalty.

However, the glimmer of hope didn't last long as Camoranesi's cross was deflected into the net by Genoa substitute Sokratis Papastathopoulos to make it 4-1.

The result was very harsh on Genoa, but the Rossoblu had failed to convert their chances while Juve were clinical and joined Inter at the top of the table.
Juventus (probable): Manninger; Grygera, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Marchionni (Camoranesi 69), Sissoko, Tiago, Nedved; Amauri (Iaquinta 82), Del Piero (Giovinco 88)

Genoa (probable): Rubinho; Biava (Papastathopoulos 80), Ferrari, Criscito; Potenza (Bocchetti 61), Motta, Juric, Rossi; Gasbarroni (Sculli 46), Milito, Palladino

Honestly, how can people not see what Tiago brings to our game? A guy that actually knows how to pass the ball and keeps it moving at all times. He isn't afraid to try the semi-hard passes, the ones that Marchisio and Poulsen don't try or fuck up almost every time. With that said he wasn't MOM or anything but a solid 6.5 in my book.
