Juventus

Belardi 5.5: Not to blame on Canini’s goal, however Belardi almost gifted the away side a winner when he fumbled Cossu’s shot in the second half. Nervy on crosses also.

Salihamidzic 6.0: Made some good forward runs down the right and also whipped in a few decent crosses.

Legrottaglie 6.5: Juve’s best defender. Very solid at the back and a commanding presence.

Grygera 5.5: Struggled at times today and was exposed in the second half as Cagliari launched some lightning-fast counter-attacks

Molinaro 6.0: Usually Molinaro is excellent going forward and poor defensively. Today it was the other way around.

Palladino 5.0: Very poor display by Palladino. The youngster has struggled to make an impact ever since he was handed his Italy debut in November.

Tiago 6.0: Improved performance from Tiago, who helped set-up Nedved’s equaliser. However he still dreadfully lacks personality.

Nocerino 5.0: Very poor. Continually gave the ball away, and when his passes did reach their target they were almost always sideways or backwards.

Nedved 8.5: Absolutely brilliant. Best player on the pitch by a country mile. Some delightful skill and touches in the first half, scored with a trademark drive in the second, and tried everything to drag his team to victory.

Del Piero 5.5: The Golden Boy has been in brilliant form recently, however today he was way below par. Was anonymous for long periods of the game.

Trezeguet 5.5: Started the game very brightly but soon went missing. Was denied by a brilliant Storari save.

Substitutes: Camoranesi – 6.0, Sissoko – 6.0
What game was this dude watching, Salihamidzic did not cross the ball well or do anything well

Why are so many people ready to anoint this guy as the next Batistuta after one game in the Coppa Italia against an injury-riddled defense? :confused2

This as a B-team player on a squad that turned Parma's Adriano from prolific goal scorer into a bowl of leaking, foetid feijoada.
 yeah, this kid is a superstar...I'm sure we'll see him starting by the end of the season :p

He had one good performance against a bad defense

Legro isnt that good...plain and simple
Obviously you two haven´t watched Balotelli before. He has talent as it could be seen on Wednesday. Our defense wasn´t world class but that thing could happen even to Cannavaro. My main point is that Vinman picks on our players for fun. Obviously Legrottaglie has limited skills but is it really neccesary to further rub it into his nose? You´re as ignorant as they come, Vinman.

Btw, these latest matches we played perfectly show how will we look if we play in CL with the current team. We play 3 weeks in a row Wednesday/Sunday and we suck everywhere.

One of the biggest reasons why we're doing good in serie A is exactly the fact that we were much better rested than most of the better teams. As soon as we started playing midweek/weekend we started showing our weaknesses.
Spot on. This team needs a lot of investment. Smart investment. We will really need talented, fresh youngsters and some champions as well for next season. Luckily our calendar will not be that harsh on us from now on and Nocerino really needs to hit the bench. He has been piss poor lately. Sissoko-Zanetti is the way to go. Forza Sissoko.

Forza Momo he did more in 10mins then most of our players have done the whole freakin season
Yeah, Forza Momo. I knew he has great potential and I am very happy that we signed him. If only we managed to sign him in the summer so that I don´t have to watch that pathetic Nocerino. However, we are still missing a strong midfield genius.

We have 1 week rest before we play our next match. We didn't have this in almost 4 weeks.
We'll have Zanetti and Iaquinta back and hopefully better prepared Camoranesi, able to play from the beginning till the end. Zebina is also expected to be ready, we have Sissoko to replace the out of form Nocerino and maybe most important : We may have Buffon back.

So hopefully the only man we'll lack is Chiellini.
Udinese are out of form and they won only 1 point in last 3 (or 4) matches. This match will be their last chance to stay in the game for the 4th place.

Hi I agree 100%. We dont have a coach. He is playing the english game. Its a shame! We played against the last team and we didnt win. We will not qualify for the CL as from next Sunday we will loose all the games. Rainieri is buying playes that play in England and noone wants them. We need a new coach and new management, if not we will go to serie B next year.

Ranieri: It Was A Beautiful Match

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri was not too disheartened by his side’s inability to beat Cagliari today, and praises Momo Sissoko for his debut performance.

The Bianconeri could only manage a disappointing 1-1 draw against rock-bottom Cagliari, a result that sees them drop 12 points behind Serie A leaders Inter.

Juve created a few excellent opportunities in the first half, however they were very poor after the interval, barely having a shot of note after Pavel Nedved had cancelled out Michele Canini’s opener in the 56th minute.

"It was a beautiful match, played by two teams who both wanted to win,” Ranieri told Sky Italia after the game.

I believe that the merit goes to the two goalkeepers who were excellent.”

The Tinkerman bemoaned the number of injured and suspended players that were unavailable this afternoon and promises that his team will improve and grow in the future.

We had difficulties; we had many players out, who are now recovering,” he moaned.

We are making good progress. We want to improve and we have time ahead of us. We have a lot of growing to do.

“I wanted the win, but Cagliari did not come here to just lose, they have arrived with a healthy squad believing they can have a good game. It is logical that I wanted to win, we all wanted to win."

Finally Ranieri was pleased with the debut of new signing Momo Sissoko, who came on in the 67th minute for Tiago.

Sissoko’s very poor piece of control almost led to a Cagliari winner shortly after he entered the pitch, however he seemed to recover well from this mistake.

It was positive, he distributed a lot of balls and you can see he is a player who has already played and won championships," Ranieri stated.

This doesn't seem atypical of the usual Jan-Feb/beginning-of-the-ritorno Juve slump of injuries and ugly form. But losing points to Cagliari on your home pitch ... not good. :disagree:

Let's not make this more of a rebuilding year than it needs to be.

when we draw or lose the match raineri is happy with team performance and when we win he is not happy with the performance everybody knew that raineri makes stupid substitutions makes tatical errors but the great juve management is sleeping which also appointed secco as the sports director with no experience should be removed i am sure that neither raineri and secco will be removed at the end of season

I did not see the game but Cagliari is officially the worst team in SerieA so I dont see what you need a coach to make Juventus beat them at home.

All the usual crap from the same ppl you read about in this forum blaming Morinaro, Ranieri and giving countless excuses for the ineffectual Tiago.

Ranieri is not playing, he is not creating or missing chances, it does not matter what his tactics are, the players should take a lot of responsibility for poor results.

They ought to know that a Cl place is a distinct possibility so they should be doing a lot better.

Blaming your usual suspects is not doing anyone any good. This is not playing against a midtable or top side, this is playing against the poorest team in the land and its absurd that our goalkeeper is man of the match.

All the time your fave Tiago was on the field. pray tell what did he do? Did he look like he was trying out there?

You can cuss Molianro all you like but for a manager its not only about talent it is also how much he sees that you are giving him out there.

Its amazing that save for a few individuals, the team as a whole always escapes criticism on here. The usual scapegoat is Ranieri as if the guy has personally done something to you guys.

This draw is the fault of the players, i dont care of a camel or a buffallo is in charge, we should be beating Cagliari at home. Away from home, against Cagliari now that different as then the manager is more culpable but at home, please its the team to blame for this not the manager

maybe we should send ranieri out on loan to parma to get some more experience. parma really seems to be the perfect place for him to develop as a coach.
For real :agree:

if Arsenal play champagne football we play moonshine/rum and coke football at the moment.

Ranieri needs to work on the teams movements off the ball and passing because we are soo stale.
Mad Dog 20/20 more like it :p

if he keeps on playing molinaro and sali and substitutes tiago with sissoko who is a ball winner then blame should also be with him

The only thing is, THERE IS NO CHANCES!!!
Man i'm one of the people who supported ranieri this season and said that we should be patient with him. But he's not helping, same mistakes with subs over and over again (taking off tiago and leaving necerico "who's in my opinion the worst player out there today" is UNBELIEVABLE)...........

First and foremost, go fuck yourself Ikoninhosa...you dont know shit !!

There's really not too much for me to add....we all seem to (finally) be in agreement that this team is going nowhere fast, and RUINeri isnt the man to lead us to the promised land

case and point-

Il giornalista: "Ranieri, oggi 2 punti persi..."

Ranieri: "Un punto guadagnato! Basta vedere cosa ha fatto Belardi..."
Now, this wasnt Inter or even Palermo for that matter...this was Cagliari, one of the teams that is almost sure to be relegated at the end of the season

This guy is a LOSER to the highest regard, and its time for him to be sacked !!

I am sick of the long-ball bullshit (this is a broken record every week), but what Cagliari also showed today is that if you pressure our players when they have the ball, they dont have the confidence to push forward, only sideways and backwards, thus neutralizing our attack. They did it for the entire second half, and it was frustrating to watch.

player ratings-

Belardi - 7- was not at fault for the goal, and saved our asses

Molinaro - 5 - crosses were slightly better today, but tries to dribble past the opposition, and always fails.

Grygera - 6 - No obvious mistakes from him today, thankfully

Legro - 4.5 - Where was he on the corner kick that Cagliari scored on ?? Brazzo was MIA as well. Was beaten on the offsides trap twice as well, almost leading to 2 more goals

Brazzo- 4 - His crosses and longballs are usually 30 yards off the mark...he cant defend either, partly to blame for the goal as well.....no place on this team for him

Nedved - 7.5 - My MOM. He saved us from an embarassing loss (as did Belardi), and showed true Juve spirit

Tiago - 7 - He's not the most aggressive player, nor will he dribble around defenders to make a play, but what he did correctly was attempting to get the ball to strikers several times today. Should not have been subbed off

Nocerino - 5.5- lots of running and physical play, but really did nothing to help us go forward

Palladino - 5- He cant play the right side of the midfield, and we all know this, including RUINeri

Del Piero - 5.5 - I dont think Alex had a good game, he was ineffective with the few chances he got

Trezeguet - 5.5 - He was robbed on one of his few chances...did not get enough good service

Sissoko - 6 - First play when he went in was to miss a corner kick to his feet, which almost led to a goal the other way, otherwise showed the aggression of a DM, not much different than Zanetti or Nocerino

Camo - 6 - He tried to add some creativity in the midfield, just needs to get his form back

Ranieri - 1 - Where do I begin ?? For starters, he goes with a 4-4-2 with Palla on the right, which even my 2 year old knows he cant play, then makes the biggest mistake of the day when he takes out Tiago and brings in Sissoko in his place. Common sense tells everyone that he should have either taken out a similar player like Nocerino, or even replaced him at halftime, instead of Palla, and go to a 4-3-3

Having both Sissoko and Nocerino in the midfield gives us ZERO creativity, RUINeri should have realized that....

But this idiot is happy with the point :inter:
