Between our Fullbacks and Del Neri's subs fuck us the game
I lost my streaming in 2nd half. But i see that our defense especially fullbacks is weak in defense.. Motta made several good long crosses and passes and also DC support attack and run forward well.. But Motta clearly lost in his positioning when coming back to defend, look at how many Cassano utilize the empty space from his side.. DC also not close down the Samp winger close enough when they got the ball.. It make the chance for them to either cross or think again creating attack..

I don't know if the replacement will be the solution or not.. As in defense ability, i do rate Grygera better than Motta. But i want us to develop Motta and integrate him in our team and Motta is better offensively.. Also in LB, heard that Traore is not better defensively than DC so i don't know if Grosso or Brazzo is better get at least a chance again.. I hope DN will realize this and make up our defense for next match.. It's better we realize earlier than later

And may I say FORZA QUAG.

:)
Meh, that goal, even Zebina could have scored it. :p

Quag looked ok today, I didn't like Del Piero's slow play, he's frustrating to watch, he either kept the ball for too long and either lost it or did nothing with it, instead of giving a quick pass to Krasic or Pepe. The guy is desperate to prove he still can make it and it's affecting the team.

For those who defended Storari, the 3goals should be dedicated to them.

One's understand that his fullbacks and CB's aren't the best defenders in Italy, no one disagrees here, but to have such a lazy goalkeeper like Storari is something painful to watch.

Bari 1-0 Juventus, re-watch the goal, yes it was fantastic goal we conceded, but re-watch the way Storari jumped. He didn't even jump 50cm let alone trying to save the ball. Had he at least tried I wouldn't be bitching.

Samp 3-3 Juventus, I will not comment on the 1st goal conceded (though I know for fact Buffon would have most probably saved this and who knows maybe Manninger because the shot wasn't that powerful.

But the 2nd goal, that was even a weaker shot than the first goal conceded and easier for Storari to catch or at least move it out of his sight.

3rd goal, I honestly expected him to come out of his goal when the cross was made and catch the ball. FFS, that's the easiest things a goalkeeper can do. HE STICKED IN HIS PLACE and conceded a goal between his legs. LAZY, LAZY, LAZY.

Manninger from now on, please.
Wow you really don't like Storari.

The goal Bari scored against us Buffon would not have saved.

The second goal was a close range shot, I only know of one man who can keep those sorts of shots out and the third the defence should have dealt with.

I think the keeper is the least of our worries, I think we should be looking at how players are getting such chances.

Of course I am upset with how our defence performed, but I actually feel pretty light hearted. Maybe because it's been a while since I thought Juve was so enjoyable to watch, and we actually FOUGHT, or rather tried - this spirit is a good start.
:agree:

Disappointing to drop points but at least we have some positives to take from the game.

Sad that we have to think this way though!

Krasic shouldnt be subbed he was NOT tired and he gave us the speed and creativity we needed...too pity we still have bad defense.
To be fair he stopped running and had his hands on his knees a couple of minutes before he was taken off, so he may have had a knock or just run himself into the ground.

I think Bonucci specifically needs to be called out. He was turned out by Cassano on more than one occasion, and all the goals that have been scored on us thus far have come from his side of the defense. Chiellini was decent but when the other three defenders aren't doing their jobs there isnt too much he can do.

We'll be playing much better in time, but I'm worried about the mentality, we should learn to play for winning until the last minute, and not open up and concede so easily after scoring.

im gonna say stupid thing, but we are on a right track
Depends on what you mean. Defensively, we're not improving. Fullback areas are greatly exposed (Cassano was toying with Motta often) and I think that Bonucci is quite slow to be playing so far up the pitch.

Going forward, yes, there is definite improvement. Krasić, Pepe, Quagliarella all were much better than the Bari game. Central midfield was also improved, Marchisio/Felipe Melo commanded for a lot of the game (Brazilian really is turning over a new leaf).

Still early days, if we can sort the defence out, we will be fine.

Its a big if.
yup, mostly bonucci and motta were crappy. I expected Bonucci to step up his game a bit, but he's been downhill since the league started.

Motta still has the man marking skill of a serie C player. When will we see some fucking normal fullbacks at Juve?

Our first half was really slow and we looked out of ideas, we started to come in the game at around 30 minutes. Our midfield made lots of mistakes especially Melo giving the ball away leaving Storari or the defenders with impossible situations.

We got our act together in the second but our defenders went out napping but not only that, our keeper looked totally out of sorts.

I enjoyed a lot the energy put in from Krasic, Pepe and Quagliarella, and Melo in the second half. Del Neri should have put in Iaquinta for Del Piero twice when we took the lead and not wait until after Sampdoria has equalized, even then to switch to 4-3-3 meant only a deadlock, in 10 minutes the team cannot adapt to a new formation with two/three new players and bring a result, even if we came close three times in one minute.

Storari 4: Responsible for the goals

Motta 5: Good going forward, horrible at the back
Bonucci 4.5: He was sleeping today
Chiellini 5: He joined Bonucci in a siesta
De Ceglie 5: Boring, he had some good forward plays but that's it

Pepe 6.5: Lots of good work
Melo 6: He did well in the second half, such a shame he couldn't put the last header in
Marchisio 6: Not willing to play but his goal gives him a grade as it came at a crucial timing
Krasic 7: Our best player, his speed and the width he offered was really missd when he was taken off

Del Piero 5: Not his day
Quagliarella 6.5: One of our better performers today, took a goal and I wish he took Pepe's goal too

Grygera 5.5: Meh
Iaquinta 6: Should have come in earlier
Aquilani 5.5: Didn't do much

Del Neri 4: Horrible late substitutions, killed the entire energy by changing the formation and should have taken out Del Piero twice when we took the lead.

All in all, I saw glimpses of hope, I hope we build on the positives and learn from our mistakes. Sloppy defending and losing concentration are a sickness we should get rid of.

Milos Milos Krasic Krasic! I hope that was him warming up, a preview of things to come. His pace caused Samp some serious problems. We most definitely looked better overall than we did against Bari, so I'm hopeful we'll keep seeing improvement and develop into an organized side. The back line especially needs quite a bit of work.

Pace upfront makes us look pretty lively. Rather disappointed we only ended up with 1 point from today's game, after being up a goal twice.

Plenty of new players, plenty of problems to fix, it was to be expected. Let's hope for a win next time, as we've seen what confidence can do with a team at the beginning of the second half today. :xfinger:
