why does he make always the bad decision when it comes to del piero and zlatan?
zlatan is more than a scorer ,he helps all the team with his movements
just a last thing:tell ur compatriot not to talk about national teams,we all know u wont be in a good position, and also not to escape from a discussion when he is beaten

anyway,i hope that capello does always these wrong decisions that give us a 9 points of difference in the serie a
If it was the right decision, then we would have 13 points clear, problem solved.

He didn't say he wanted you to leave...he said "leave it", which means let it go, stop arguing, etc. :)

Zlatan had some good performances in the early stages of the season. Lately though, he has not been playing at his best. His goalscoring is completely missing. He is maybe trying a bit too hard, and thinking too much about the fact that he needs to score. Ale on the other hand, performes well, almost everytime he gets the chance. I think it's time that Capello realises this, and fields Del Piero and Trezeguet up front against Reggina.

If you look at il capitano's stats this season they are rather impressing in terms of goalscoring. Just take a look at these numbers:

Serie A:
14 games, 581 mins, 5 goals. 0,36 goals/game. 116 mins/goal. 0,77 goals per 90 mins.

Champions League:
5 games, 300 mins, 3 goals. 0,6 goals/game. 100 mins/goal. 0,9 goals per 90 mins.

Coppa Italia:
2 games, 180 mins, 3 goals. 1,5 goals/game. 60 mins/goal. 1,5 goals per 90 mins.

In total:

21 games, 1061 mins, 11 goals. 0,52 goals/game. 96 mins/goal. 0,93 goals per 90 mins.

The same stats for Zlatan is in total:

23 games, 1683 mins, 6 goals. 0,26 goals/game. 281 mins/goal. 0,32 goals per 90 mins.

Of course these stats aren't telling us the whole story. But they certaintly tell us something...

I believe Capello will stick with his usual line-up, but I don't think it is the right choise. Del Piero deserves to start in front of Zlatan at the moment. Also I hope Mutu starts in place of Nedved. And I actually think he will.

Anyway the most important thing is that the team is performing well ;)

Forza Juve!!

As I said, the stats don't tell us the whole story. Zlatan has contributed quite a few assists, so thats a good thing. But lately he has not been playing very well, and that is the main reason why I think Del Piero should start in his place. It is probably a good thing for Zlatan too. Then he will understand that he has to perform to make the starting eleven. As that does not seem to be the case at the moment. Even when he plays poorly, he is not substituted until late in the game. I think he needs to be reminded that he has to perform better than he has been doing in the previous games.

Del Piero's goalscoring statistics are far better than Zlatan's, no matter which tournament you look at.

i am convinced that ibrahimovic has much more to give than del piero, but i also agree he didnt play very goog against lazio and may be palermo.
and it may be a good idea to threaten him just for a while(as capello did with camo replacing him with oliveira before the start of last season)

Good couple of first posts Juvewiz. Welcome to the forums:)

I also think Del Piero should start against Reggina, even though i dont think Cap would want to split up a winning team midseason so i dont see it happening.

Dp deserves to start though.

But then again, Larsson has the highest per minute scoring avarage in Barcelona and he is being kept out of the starting eleven too.

I wonder if there are people on the barca forums screaming Rijkaard is a moron and stuff..
