The result imo opinion flattered Lazio as they were as awful as their disgraceful fans who were making monkey chants at Zebina , Emerson and co

They could not hold on to the ball for more than 10 secs and are now just terrible to watch unlike the Lazio teams that used to thrill us.

I thought we played a good game and some of the link up play was delightful at times but we do lack pace thruout the team but i was astonished at some of the ratings being dished out , it was like i was watching another game

Buffon no grade as there was nothing to do, he stood no chance with the goal and was not troubled at all after and before that as Lazio were toothless

Zebina 6 was good at the back and had to be with Thuram playing his worst game of the season , but not so good going forward though he does link up well at times

Thuram 5 he was very poor, and its worrying that he always seems to be beaten by any ball thats played over the top and like Arsenal's defence, seems to be afraid of crosses, must be a vampire or something, hope none of our players likes garlic ( ha Ha)

Cannavaro 6 was better than Thuram but he gave away too many needless freekicks but he would always throw himself at any shot to protect our defence

Zambrotta 5 I could not believe that someone actually gave him 7.5 for what he did yesterday. How many times did he over run the ball, give a poor pass, or just generally make the wrong decision? Not one of his better games but always gives 100%

Emerson 6 not one his more dominating performances but he was still good and attacked more than i have seen him

Appiah 7 definitely not the garbage I saw last season, he has really matured into a fine player and shockingly can now pass the ball, but he was brilliant

Camoranesi 7.5 is really having the time of his life as he has improved a great deal, not hugging the ball too much, passing at the right time and generally making things happen

Oliveria 5.5 if not for his goal, i would have given him 4 as he was awful in my eyes, not really seen the fine player some ppl on here are talking about as he seems decidedly average to me

Dp 6 definitely the best I have seen him play since the Ajax game, showed touch of class at times , completely made a fool of Couto near the corner flag and his dummy to Zlatan was exqusite as well, pity about his finishing
Amazing how a 30 year old now runs like a 50 year old pot bellied bald headed woman
But its nice to see the talent is still there, for a while i was worried, but he should go back to practicing free kicks as I am sure hge does not do that anymore

Zlatan 6.5 played a better game, at l;east didnt try to take on everyone and his mum at the same time and one touch passes to both Zlatan and Zala should at leats show him that the way to be effective, though he cannot head for shite as he ought to have scored in the 7th minute

Kapo 6 I am seeing most ppl here say what a great game he had, please lets face it until he set up the goal he was hopeless and ironically played better when he was switched to the right even if he is left footed

Zala no mark

Moan of the match apart from Lazio's disgraceful fans, is the fact that Dp always gets substituted, sure;y he cannot be enjoying that, its justified when he is not playing well but just for the heck of it , is annoying. Capello will never change, always will put a hard worker ahead of talent as Montella and Delvechio will testify

Something else to add, yesterday also highlighted how much work Blasi does in when he closes down the opposition, it might not be pretty but its effective and that was shown to be the case as Lazio at times cut through our midfiled way to easily but Appiah played well as well as Emerson but its okay to see that we have 3 guys in there that are useful, thank goodness we dont have to rely mainly on Tacchinardi

It is Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s seventh goal in the championship, while six are his assists crucial to his teammates’s goals. Excellent spoils, which the Swede comments: “I’m very happy, and it’s thanks to the team, who’s playing well, and to the fans, who are supporting me. I want to go on this way.” He’s asked who will win the Scudetto: “Juventus will, even if Milan and Inter are two dangerous opponents. We’ll do our best and I hope we will truly win”

Fabio Capello is visibly satisfied with the three points gained with the victory against Lazio, which are important for the way they’ve arrived and because they keep Milan at a distance; however, the squad’s performance did not excite the Bianconeri’s manager: “On 0-0 we hit the crossbar – he explains – but soon after we conceded Pandev’s goal. He was very good but a Serie-A-like defence cannot let a player dribble half the squad. Afterwards, we did not concede them anything and Buffon was never called into action; however, I did not like the start, it showed we were still affected by the “San-Siro-disease” .. we lacked aggressiveness”. The second half saw a different Juventus: “In the first half, we were not the usual team and Lazio deserved to be in advantage, but in the second half we pushed forward our centrefield and, playing more determined, we found our identity again.”
Capello also underlines Del Piero and Zalayeta’s good performances: “I saw a good Alex, he was dangerous, he nearly scored more than once and when I saw him slow down I thought I had to replace him. My compliments to Marcelo too, he’s in a good condition at this time, as soon as he gets on the pitch he’s ready. Some players need time to warm up, while he has no problem in getting into the game and his contribution is always very important.”

A fine comeback by Juventus who, one goal down after 11 minutes on the only scoring occasion for Lazio, wins against Caso’s side thanks to goals scored by Olivera and Ibrahimovic at the end of a game played with authority.

After Ibrahimovic’s header hits the crossbar on 8’ minutes, Capello’s squad concedes a goal on Lazio’s first occasion into the box. After 11 minutes Pandev is good to take advantage of the home defence’s distraction. One goal down, Juventus, loudly supported by their fans, pushes the opponents to their own side. The match is now one-way. After 21 minutes, Emerson beautifully serves Ibrahimovic, whose finish is cleared by Sereni. One minute later, Camoranesi assists Del Piero, whose powerful drive ends a little off target. After 23 minutes, Olivera serves Ibrahimovic, and the latter’s header ends beyond the goal-line. After 31 minutes Del Piero shoots too high after a fine one-two pass with Ibrahimovic and after 36 minutes he tries a overhead kick but the ball goes straight into the goalkeepers’ arms. The deserved draw is achieved on 40’ minutes: assisted by Camoranesi, Olivera nods in his header and scores. In the last few minutes into the first half, an injury forces the Uruguayan out of the game. He’s replaced by Kapo.

It’s still Juventus who controls the game in the second half. After 4 minutes, Lazio risks an own goal by Talamonti, two minutes later Sereni saves Emerson’s header after a cross by Camoranesi, after 11 minutes Kapo tries a finish from the distance, while the only occasion for Caso’s side is Filippini’s drive that ends wide of the post (20’). The 2-1 goal for the Bianconeri arrives on 30’ minutes: a great action by Kapo who pushes forward on the right and crosses for Ibrahimovic who deflects the ball and tap it into the net. Once achieved the advantage, Capello’s squad does not give up. After 36 minutes, Sereni saves Zebina’s right-footed shot from the edge of the box and on two minutes later Ibrahimovic’s finish is deflected into the corner.
On 40’ minutes, it’s Lazio’s scorer, Pandev, who attempts on a free kick, with the ball ending high over the crossbar. It’s Juventus again after 43 minutes with Zalayeta, who replaced Del Piero, serving Kapo but the latter’s strike is high and again after 44 minutes with Camoranesi’s strike deflected by Couto into the corner.

That is great to see Appiah improving. If you were Capello, which player would get the nod most of the time, Blasi or Appiah?

tough question, but I would say it depends on the game - If i need a tough job in the middle I would call for Blasi, when I need a calm midfield I would nod for Appiah

who the fock cares if we play badly when we are still winning?! Agnelli's principal was maximum results with minimum effort. Currently our team is living perfectly that principal and I'm absolutely loving it.

La storia siamo noi...

Man its obvious that you don't have a clue about football.I never said Milan were not lucky!Yes they have luck but also Juve have a lot of luck!!Sometimes the luck goes with you and sometimes against you!!!But U can't say that its all about luck. The first game against Livorno, they scored from a free kick a penalty,Milan played with 10 men created 100 chances and did not score. So they did not have luck then but I did not go around crying like you:We weren't lucky and bla bla bla bla.Like I say luck its sometimes with you and sometimes against you!

Pardon my ignorance, yes I do not know about football...it seems that all the knowledge has gone to Milan fans...the very well informed, rational and smart people

If you do not like my posts by mentioning the luck thing, feel free to help yourself by pressing the rescue button.

If you feel offended by me saying that Milan are lucky and Juventus are unlucky....then it is my pleasure to say it again and again and again.

and another thing, David del Piero is not my friend ;)

Man why would I be offended by someone like you?You can say that as much as you like,I really don't care. From now on I'm ignoring you ,something I should have done in the first place. If all you know is to talk how Juve are unlucky and Milan and the other teams lucky so be it.I'm sure you can go to some kindergarden and explane your philosophy about football and luck.I'm just glad that some people around here can be objective and talk in a nice maner about football:)
