Video evidence catches out Camo Tuesday 18 April, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus man Mauro German Camoranesi has received a two-match ban after he was caught on camera elbowing an opponent, but Cagliari are also punished.

Camoranesi was seen elbowing Agostini in the chest after a challenge from behind, but the referee did not witness the incident during Juve’s 1-1 draw at the Stadio Sant’Elia.

The Disciplinary Commission viewed the footage and ruled it was “definitely a violent gesture,” They opted to suspend the Italian international for two games, ruling him out of the upcoming clashes with Lazio and Siena.

There was a fiery finale to that match in Sardinia, with Nelson Abeijon and Antonio Langella sent off for dissent after Fabio Cannavaro’s stoppage-time equaliser for the Bianconeri.

Abeijon has been handed a three-match ban for “pushing the referee and shouting insulting phrases,” while teammate Langella is out for two games for “grabbing the official by the shirt and hurling abuse.”

The following players have been handed one-match bans: Paredes (Reggina), Mandelli (Chievo), Lanna (Chievo), Vargas (Livorno), Argilli (Livorno), Aquilani (Roma), Rosi (Roma), Budel (Cagliari), Burdisso (Inter), Felipe (Udinese), Muntari (Udinese), Konan (Lecce), Moro (Empoli), Pirlo (Milan), Quagliarella (Ascoli), Rezaei (Messina) and Stendardo (Lazio).

Well that blows...

Fortunately we've got Capello who can succesfully deal with the situation. No fear.
:lol2: Thank you for the laugh.

If we want to ensure our safety in this Scudetto race, we must break out of this bad patch of form which, to be honest, is only slightly worse off than our form all season. I believe our luck has started to run out during the last few matches and hopefully we will have some against Lazio because Capello will do nothing to increase our chances for success. If he did, we would have switched formations a long time ago and rested a few important players more often instead of fielding the same XI every single match. So right now during this spell it's up to our players to grind out the results and guide us to the Scudetto.

:disagree: Snoop, you dissapoint me. Camoranesi, though rightfully banned now for two games, was together with Zambrotta the only one against Cagliari that got things moving forward in our team. Besides that, Camoranesi still is valuable, even when he doesn't have a great match with his assists and hard work. No need for childish remarks on Camo's nervous behaviour please. The guy has a lot of pressure on him, regarding his future.

I mean what now? Mutu on the right?.... sigh.

as I said before, right after the match that we are lucky that Camoranesi escaped the red card.

I never said that Camoranesi is playing bad, he is one of my favourtie type of players, A fighter, Never gives up, his passing and dribling skills etc..

But he has put this shit in mind, "I want to hurt Capello/Juventus as much as I can, before I leave". Don't tell me he is nervous and I have to accept his behaviours. Yes Capello is showing him the door, but he is still playing right? he still has the chance to prove that Capello is taking the wrong decision on him, by showing him the door (If there is something like that).. He can give his 100% and focus totally on the match. instead, he is doing his all best to make it worse and worse. Yet, I saw him many times, that he doesn't care about what's going on at all.

He escaped the red card against Cagliari, he would probably get it against Lazio, why should I want him to play anymore?

Great!!! Now we playing without Camoranesi, nervous or not we are going to miss him. Now we have only Mutu who doesn't play so good, but on other side who do play good at the moment except Canna and Zambrotta.

And Milan's tonight loss is telling me that they gonna turn on Scudetto too, which means that we gonna as much points as we can get.

Only positive thing is return of Emerson and Trezeguet, I only hope their gonna play against Lazio, and gonna play good and score goals, that's the most we need at least from Trez
