I didn't watc the game but it sounds like a typical Juve game. We conceive first and then put 2 back.
it is not possible to play good against teams like Empoli. They defend with 10 Players.. it is only important to win, and not how

Canna is definately the BEST CB in the world right now...and he was one of the bests for the last 10 years...

Forza Juve !!!

Once again, we struggled to get a victory against a side that would hardly be a top team in Serie B this season.

We have defensive quality, no doubt, but once you take a look at the tactics and formations Crap uses, ita a recipe for disaster.

We have 2 defensive midfielders, and a winger who's a striker , that our trying to get the ball to our forwards, and are having nothing but difficulties as of late. We are failing in the oppositions side of the field, and have the offensive creativity of a stale cracker.

Any decent team that can get an early goal on us, and then sit back and play defensively the rest of the way will beat us almost every time (think Liverpool, people !!)

Trez got no service, and DP made the most of what was given to him, but couldnt score.

It was up to a DEFENDER to save us, not only once, but TWICE today, and score both goals (both on set pieces)

We are in for a rude awakening once we play some real teams, and when the CL starts up again...........

my rankings-

Buffon- could do nothing about the free-kick, not much else to do during the game 6

Blaza- not tested defensively, lost a few balls, still needs to learn 6

Canna- MOM, best offensive player today 7.5

Thuram- not tested...thank god !! 6

Zamby- tried, but not his best day 6

Emerson- fine defending, doesnt help the offense enough 6

Vieira- not up to standards, isnt helping the offense 5.5

Camo- not his best day either, couldnt get the offense going 5.5

Mutu- cant cross because he ISNT a winger !!! Sick of seeing him play there 5

DP- he made some nice moves, knew when to pass when he was in trouble against multiple defenders (unlike Zlatan), hit the crossbar twice, but no goals 6

Trez- absolutely NO service !! He has to get into the play more, and make something happen if this continues NR

Zalayeta- missed on his only chance 5.5

Zebina- not too bad for his first appearance in a long while, may be the solution we need in the center if Thuram or Canna get injured, or need a rest 6

Capello- shows me no reason why we should stop him from leaving at the end of the season if he wants to coach Real, Manure, Milan, the Metrostars, the Libyan national team, or the Boys Scouts pack 181 soccer club here in Buffalo

Allow me to quote your post Vinni...as I was about to write the same summart and ratings just like yours....

An absolutely awful performance against a side who quite frankly were abject
I need to sit down to talk to Capello with a shrink, an interpreter , drugs and some booze, so that he can explain to me the things that he does sometimes.
Booze is for us to be drunk, drugs is for us to be high, interperter to explain to him what wanker means and shrink is to counsel me after i have throttled him
What on earth was that? Mutu and Balzaretti were very good in the second half and combining well and he takes them off to bring on Zalayeta and Zebina
Whats up with that?

Buffon: Not sure what he was doing rushing forward as the free kick was struck, don't know if he would have gotten there if he stayed on his line but he has been conceding goals since his comeback and that cannot be good 5.5
Zambrotta: Was his usual huffing and puffing self and now seems lost at left back which is understandable with the constant changing of his position 6
Balzaretti: Again the guy showed great promise and seems to be a very good left winger( hint Hint Capello) as his crosses are very good 6.5
Thuram: The very first thing he did was to give away a very needless free kick which resulted in the goal. needs to get his act together 5.5
Cannavaro: 1 more goal and he would have had a hat trick, like someone rightly pointed out, has the same amount of league goals as the supposedly best forward in the world, but he was superb both in attack and defence 7.5
Emerson: gave cover to the defence but is clueless when it comes to play a good pass in the opposition's penalty area, still he could have done worse 6
Vieria: time and time again , myself, vinnie and Andy have ridiculed Blasi and for good reason cos he is hopeless but Vieria is meant to be world class, well colour me pink but he has not played well in 3 months and counting now and thats a heck of a long time, again an awful display, pointless side of the boot passes which are always too hard or too soft and not commanding at all. Frankly i think he should be dropped for matches like this as it takes away from the creative side to have he and Emerson start. I would like to see Nedved in that position against the so called weak teams 4
Camoranesi: i thought he did some things very well and was always dangerous 6
Dp: Not very good in the first half and does lack electric pace but you gotta admire his movement off the ball and he does some great things in the box , but this was not vintage 6
Trez: He is not getting the chances but i think he too should start moving a bit more, it cannot be coincidence that most chances tend to now fall to Dp and zlatan 5
Mutu: Was doing well till he was substituted for no good reason to bring on someone less creative 5.5
Zalayeta: Not a lot of inpuit from him 5
Zebina: Nice to see him back but i will disappointed if Balzaretti loses his place 6
Capello: Lucky lucky man 4

I also thought that Camoranesi was active and did push forward rather dangerously. He combined very well with Del Piero in the first half.
