Rugani was 5th choice and was about to be sold. Don't think he was even being called up.

If you want to be really practical, Demiral should start as he did well in preseason, knows the league and calcio. De Ligt didn't and doesn't.

But either would make sense (and far less surprising than Rugani) and will be happy seeing de Ligt play just the same.

Matuidi is better than Bentacur?No way.And I will agree that Can's technique isn't awesome but overall he way better player than Matuidi.
