Well, I don't think Barzagli is a bad player and I didn't want to put these three in the same level. If he's better than Pepe, he'll have to prove that on the pitch, nonethteless.

Anyway, it seems silly to me to put a new player playing his first game for us in an official game as a starter. We could either have used him last night or just use Elia again, which seems the most reasonable option to me.
